Worm Calls Sera

[Colonel Worm]

Last time Worm had seen Seraphina at Funderland, she'd mentioned wanting to spar. Now, a smarter "man" might think twice about combat training with a (non-Summer) Monarch. What if he should injure the Spring Queen? Luckily, Worm's not that smart. It makes his life so much easier.

Besides, Sera's a good time. And the Colonel loves a good time. So, he gives her call.

*Ring Ring*

[Seraphina]

The phone rings a few times before the angelic voice of the Nix answers, the sound of cups and voices in the background, "Hello?" she says, smile in her voice.

[Colonel Worm]

"Hello?" he answers, echoing her for reasons not even he understands. "I mean: Sera! Hey! It's Worm. What's up? How are you?"

[Seraphina]

“Oh hey! Uh, not a whole lot, it’s inventory day.” Which meant a long day. “How about you? Things ok?” was he in trouble?

[Colonel Worm]

"Inventory day? Sounds like...fun?" It does not sound like fun. "No, no--I'm good. I'm perfect!" A pause while he takes a drag off of...something. "Actually, I was calling because you mentioned last time I saw you that you might want to dance. You know, like spar. Thought maybe we could get together sometime soon at the Striker, work on some moves."

[Seraphina]

“Oh, it’s very exciting, I couldn’t recommend it enough.” A smirk in her sarcastic tone. “That would be great! Awesome in fact!” now her voice was excited, “I can move my schedule around to fit whenever works for you!”

[Colonel Worm]

"Seems like it might be too overstimulating for this old Worm, but thanks anyway for the offer," he replies with a chuckle.

"Dancing it is then," equally enthusiastic.

"How does the night of [date] sound? Say, [time] o'clock?"

He'd have to scrounge up some boxing gloves. And pads too, maybe?

[Seraphina]

“The offer will still stand should decide to give it a go!” she jokes back.

She didn’t even need to look at her schedule, her coffee shop was fully staffed, school hadn’t started, she had the time. “That would be perfect! Need me to bring anything?” this girl happened to have a lot of her own gear. Which hadn’t been used lately, but hey, she had it.

[Colonel Worm]

"Sweet! Super exciting! I'm gonna pick up some gloves, head gear, pads... But you can bring whatever you want. The more toys the better," he says cheerfully.

"I'll see you there!" With that, the line goes dead as the Goblin moves on to the next adventure.
