Girl's Night Out!

[Cassandra Reeding]

Cassandra has let go of her nerves, finding a sense of peace in the thrumming music beating into her chest, the swaying body movements that brings everything together. She was laughing, enjoying herself. And then-

Grab. A jolt. A sudden panic. Taken. Going to be-

And a twirl, release. Breathe. Her body is tense then, the pure panic that lasted a whole second lingered in her, changed the way she moved. She puts on a smile and a laugh. It's fine. It's fine. It's fine. Breathe.

"I'm gonna to grab another drink. I'll be right back," She gives another smile, but the moment she turns around, away from their gaze, there is a definitive change. Her heart still races, but she knows this isn't anyone's fault. Cassandra doesn't like to be touched, particularly unexpectedly. There are few people she does allow, few people the moment they come into contact with her, she doesn't panic. Breathe.

She stands at the bar, waiting on another drink. Something to take the edge off, numb herself a little. Seems ironic given how she used to treat alcohol as a means to feel something. Breathe.

[Seraphina]

And then Worm appeared! Seemed he did in fact have some rhythm, “Look at you!” she compliments with a smile.

“That’s the beauty of music! The way it’s able to make us feel alive and happy.” Yet she never really let herself go like this. It was amazing.

The spins were a bit odd, but who was she to judge.

But something about Cassandra suddenly needing a drink felt off to her. Did dancing bring up memories? Or did she just not like the company? Either way, it worried the Nix. And while worried, this wasn’t the place to address it.

“I think she has the right idea! A water sounds amazing right now!” laughing, “It’s hot in here!” fanning her self as walks to the bar. But she had to admit, sweat looked good on her.

Offering a warm smile to the Winter, “Getting a drink was the perfect idea!” she says, ordering a water. “Dancing really is a whole-body workout!” hydrating was important, but this gave her a chance to check on Cassandra without being too obvious.

[Colonel Worm]

Cassandra and Sera dip off. Worm follows them with his eyes, but the beat's still pounding away. And this Goblin loves to dance.

He turns to face Mable now that they're alone, continuing to move his body with a wild grin.

"Looks like it's just you and me!"

Mable briefly wondered if she had upset Cassandra but when Sera said how hot it was in here she decided that must be it.

Then there was CW. "Just us, and a room full of dancers." She giggled. "Let's dance." She spun and wiggled and generally danced the best she could to the music.

Cassandra hadn't been expecting Sera to come over, she hadn't had time to adjust her body language, so she just looks a little off. "Hey, yeah. Something icy will help cool it down," not that Cassandra needed anything to cool her down. She was icy enough as it was. "It really is." Full body workout, huh. Maybe I should do dance. It's hard, but not overly stressful. Still, it would mean the outfits.

There is a feeling inside Cassandra though. She bets Sera knows something is wrong. So, come out with it or keep playing it cool?

The Artist lets out a soft sigh and in a quiet voice, she says, "Unexpected touches make me panic. Not bumping into people, but like... sudden grabs. I wasn't ready for it." Something she knows she shares with quite a few Lost. Her heart beats quickly in her chest. It is embarrassing to a degree, being like this. Even if she stands there, she starts to feel dirty. Thoughts of the hands creep into her mind and it brings a cold shiver of her spine. Breathe.

"I'll be fine though," Just drink it off. She knows it doesn't work though. If it stays bad, maybe she'll call him.

[Seraphina]

She raises her ice water to the Winter and takes a sip, enjoying the cooling effect.

Then her face softens, also in a quite voice, “Oh, I’m so sorry. Anything I can do to help?” concern in her voice. “I can try and keep Mables focus on me if it would help.” She offers, obviously wanting to help.

“If you’re sure. The night is getting later if you wanted to sneak out. I can cover for you.” Sometimes you just needed to get out of the situation.

"Oh them?" Worm replies, looking around like he's just seeing everyone else for the first time. "Didn't even notice!"

He busts out some really fancy shit. Dropping low and popping up again. Living entirely in the moment. Because tomorrow he could die. Not that he's all that worried about it.

Whatever happens, Worm's not going to waste tonight.

"Those are some fancy moves." She giggles. "I'm ready for a break. Should we join the others?"

Fairest bullshit. This is what she calls it when she for no reason at all feels an inner dislike for another Fairest. Sarah is probably one of the sweetest changelings she has ever met, and yet every time she does something sweet for her, there is a bitterness inside of Cassandra. She hates it.

She pushes it back as far as she can and gives a faint smile. "Thanks Sarah, I think I might. It's been an eventful evening and we should definitely do this again."

"Oh, before I forget, I built that harp I was talking about, so if at some point you want to get together to do some practicing, we totally can." If nothing else, she truly would enjoy having someone to practice with, Even though it would be different.

[Seraphina]

An understanding nod. She wanted to say she understood, but she didn’t. Being social and among other people was second nature to her. But she did know it wasn’t that way for everyone.

Eyes light up, “That sounds wonderful! Let me know when you have the time and I will free my schedule!” the sounded excited. And she was.

“But you head out and I’ll take care of them.” A warm smile and wink to the Winter.

Though it was getting late. Even though Rhodes knew where she was, she still missed him. She waits to make sure Cassandra made it out ok and without getting harassed.

Finishing her water, she headed back out to the others, “You guys are killing it out here!” she says with a laugh.
