Winter Wonderland!

[Sonnie Wu]

"Baltimore? Hm, I never got that far east. Furthest I ever got was Texas." The Beast chuckled, "I would appreciate nothing poisonous, thank you!"

Sonnie also enjoyed watching the funnel cake be made, though she was a tad more obvious about it, practically pressing her face up against the glass to get a better look. "Oooooooo!"

Following Cassandra off to the side, she began digging in her bag. "Oh, I brought treats for him! He likes his peanut butter cookies!" Fishing one such treat out, she tossed it to Fugly, who happily snatched the gingerbreadman-shaped cookie. "But buying him something here is cool, too! I'm sure he won't object!"

Sonnie giggled, "Oh, like a year and a half ago. I rescued him from a... bad situation." She shrugged.

[Seraphina]

“A what?” she asks, looking a bit confused. “We need to sit down at the coffee shop and figure this out.” Because this could get into the topic of the Hedge. Because surely the Hedge had a unicorn, or something similar.

“Then ice cream hunt it is!” and keeps walking, looking at the various booths. Looking at Yami, the bag then back, “Thought we established I was stronger.” She teases, “But they’re fine in my bag, they’re not that heavy.” The other Spring had issues with the coolers. “You just keep hanging out the presents, and I shall find ice dream.” Maybe. She was looking.

Then finally, she spots a booth! Rushing over, she orders the ice cream. Grinning, she holds them up to Yami, “Success!” a big grin on her face.

“Anything else? Or should we head to the meeting place and try to not eat all this before they come back?” a giggle. “Because I have to say, it’s not going to be easy, all these treats look amazing!” plus, sugar!

"An Alicorn, basically a combination of a Pegasus and a unicorn. So think a horse with both wings and a magical horn." And popularized by my little pony but the Queen didn't need to know that. "Sure we can, just need to get our loot first."

"Yes let's hunt for the hiding banana splits, we must bring a grand offer to the adorable one." Lifting her sack up high and showing of her muscles or lack there of. "Hey I might have trained since then...True all I've done is jogging but I can still be of help." Looking at her with a determined look. "Ohh no I wanna help pick the ice cream."

Quickly rushing after the Queen and altering the final order to make it bigger and include everything they could add on it, making it a big delicious mess and paying for them all.
"There that looks nice for Sonnie, let me spoil her a little who knows one day she might bless me with a dance." Smiling happily. "Grand success achieved."

Handing out a couple of gifts in the line as the ice cream were prepared, her sack starting to get nearly empty, paying for the people behind them in line and wishing them a merry Christmas.
"I think that will be enough, it would be nice to meet up and do not worry I can take it I am not tempted in the slightest. You would need to add an incentive for me to eat most of this." True she wanted one of the blue popcorns but that was enough.

[Cassandra Reeding]

"Baltimore is where I lived before coming over here. Technically here, the places I visited while in the symphony, and Baltimore are the only places I've ever been. Though, I've gotten to travel a lot of places through the symphony, they were for mere days and I really didn't get to explore." She sighs a bit at that, but hey, one day she'll get out and really travel. She doesn't let her mind dwell in the past for once.

Cassandra smiles as she watches Fugly nom at his treat, "Precious. Makes me miss having cats a little." She chuckles and does curiously look around to see if there are any places for pet treats. "There might be some further down. Who knows? We could also probably get some peanut brittle along the way!" That could be a way to move forward. How many women have gotten over men with the love of cats?

She takes a piece of the funnel cake and has a bite. "Oh my god, this is delicious." She passes the plate over toward Sonnie so she can give it a try.

"It's great you were able to save him." she wasn't going to pry, "You two seem like an inseparable pair."

"Symphony?" Sonnie's face was alight with curiosity. "You play music for a living? Like, classical music?"

"Oh, you're a cat person? Thinking about getting one now? There's pet rescues that I'm sure have kitties in need of a loving home!" She nodded enthusiastically, always ready to promote the good of animals. It wasn't a Beast thing, per se, but her Seeming did help.

In the meantime, some funnel cake was happily accepted and devoured. "Right? You can never go wrong with funnel cake!" This was a universal truth.

She smiled, looking down at her dog, "How could I not? His situation was... let's say it reminded me some things." She flexed her shoulders, shaking off the memory. "It's just nice to have someone waiting for me at home, you know?"

The Monkey leaned towards Cassandra and whispered, "Plus, with the right contract he and I can talk to each other!"

[Seraphina]

Eyes widen, “Ohhh!” excitement entering into her voice, “That sounds amazing and magical! I think I need one. Definitely need one. Lets just not tell Max just yet.” A wink.

Laughing, “And you are a help, you’re helping me find yummies and keeping me entertained with excellent conversation! Very helpful!” a nod. Opening her arms as much as she could, “Then pick away!” giving her free reign.

“Wow! I’m going to leave you in charge of keeping Sonnie from bouncing off the walls!” giggling at the idea of little Yami running after Sonnie.

Balancing the various snacks quite well, she did own and run a coffee shop, “Ok then, lets head to the meeting spot.” She was anxious to set things down, not wanting to drop anything. “I’m not really an incentive type girl to be honest. I don’t like having to tempt someone to try things.” Ok, not true, but Rhodes was different, and that was all playful. “I say if you want to try something, you try it! After all, you only live once, and we only get to celebrate like this once a year.” Very true.

Finding the free area, she begins to set things down. The seating wasn’t fancy, this was an outdoor event after all, but was cozy. The fire giving off warmth, the seats with a recline to them. “Perfect!” and she had bough the smores kits. Each had a stick with enough for each person to make two smores.

Giggling a little.
"Wanna take him on a little surprise trip to the stables and make him fall in love with little Ali before he can refuse?" Thinking of how interesting an alicorn would be for the autumn king, it would surely be something he hadn't studied.

Shaking her head a little.
"So before things get to crazy do you have any dreams or plans for the new year?"

Giving her an innocent look.
"Who me? How would I be either responsible or capable of that, besides I think the children around here would love the show." Nodding a little. "Call me when a princess needs a kiss to wake up from a sleeping spell instead that's much more me."

Following along ready to help if her Queen would let her, stopping as she sees a stressed couple about her own age with a young baby. A quick conversation, an even lighter sack and a calmer couple and baby later so were she ready to follow along again.
"Fully agreed, which is why I will steal one of those popcorns but ice cream and all the other fatty things are not my allies."

Warming her hands towards the fire, enjoying to sit down for a bit, her arms quite tired from carrying around the sack.
"Ahh there is nothing like a gentle fire and good company to rejuvenate the soul."

[Cassandra Reeding]

Cassandra nods, "Yeah, I'm a cellist with the Sacramento symphony orchestra," she says with a smile, "It's what I've done for the last 4 or so years, playing with different symphonies and giving performances. Well, less solo performances. I don't know that I'm ready for that kind of spotlight quite yet." Spotlight meant people paying attention and she gets more than enough as a Fairest without it translating to her mundane life. Then again, with all the Fairests in this city, the attention isn't quite as intense. "I know we've got a few performers in our little community too."

She smiles and gives a happy nod, "I love cats. They're floofy and warm and wonderful. At least, the ones I've had have always been." Not as big a cat lady as mom though. Thinking about her gives her pause for a moment, distant for just a moment before coming back. "Perhaps I'll look into a shelter. The problem is that the moment I get there, I won't know how to not just take them all home. But I usually go with the policy of the oldest cat who has been there the longest. They need it. People want young things, which is fine, but we have to take care of the sweet elderly ones too. Even if they aren't so sweet."

They walk along the path, looking at the various food stands, figuring what is about and stopping often to eat the funnel cake which is quickly disappearing.

Cassandra listens and slowly nods, quick to understand. "He looks like one of those pups that cries with happy barks the moment you come home. Spinning around with joyful emotion, ready to be loved. I bet he does similar for food time. Aria was like that, but in cat form. She used to sit in front of the door refusing to let us leave. Her chirps were so melodic, we couldn't help but name her something musical."

"I am so jealous. I bet you two get to have the sweetest conversations."

"Wow! That's super impressive!" Sonnie did appear to be suitably impressed. "The cello... that's the big one, right? Must take a ridiculous amount of work to get there." She nodded thoughtfully, then glanced away. "I'm a delivery girl. A monkey could do my job," she laughed at her own joke.

"If you decide, I can recommend some good shelters." She paused a moment, "I wonder if the one I broke into is still running?"

Another piece of funnel cake was taken and subsequently popped into her maw. After chewing and swallowing, she nodded, "Yeah, he's the energetic sort." Fugly demonstrated this in the way he was constantly trying to look at everything at once, his head on a swivel. There was so much going on at this festival!

"You'd think so, but mostly he just asks for cookies and belly rubs. Those conversations are a little limited," the Beast snickered.

[Seraphina]

“Who? What’s an Ali?” did she miss something?

“Any plans? Hmm,” thinking, “No, not really. I tend to just take things as they come. Planning long term is hard.” Especially for them. “How about you?”

Laughing, “You wanted all the fixings with this ice cream, a sugar high is a real thing. She is your responsibility.” Clearly, joking, but enjoying it.

She knew better than to push food on someone who didn’t want it. So she doesn’t say anything.
When they were seated, she pulls her phone out, sending a quick text. Sliding it back in her pocket, she picks up her hot chocolate and leans back, “Not to mention the beautiful lights! Think that is my favorite part of this time of year, all the beautiful lights. What about you? Do you have a favorite part of the season?”
