Festival of Lights

[Rhodes]

When Sera bumps Rhodes with her hip, he gently slides an arm around her waist and holds her close for several seconds. "Oh, I think you would..." Reluctantly he lets her go again.

He nods to Clay. "Sounds good." He chuckles at Sera's reaction.

The Flowering nods. "As if there were any doubt. Climbing like that, I'd have thought she was part-monkey."

[Dirt Nap]

Dirt Nap chuckles and raises his hands in mock surrender to Sonnie Wu and her in depth knowledge and enthusiasm for monkeys and sloths. "I stand corrected." he says smiling.

He nods to Seraphina, "I am partial to owls, Ma'am." he agrees.

He looks to Mable Wood and the newcomer, the Musician and prepares accompany the motley group to tour the zoo exhibits.

[Sonnie Wu]

"I will happily share all kinds of fascinating facts about our primate relatives once Mable and maybe Violin Boi join us. And, you know, once we're actually inside the zoo. I'm just a fountain of useful information," she smirks and looks to Seraphina. "If you're serious, we can go to this awesome parkour gym I know, sometime. Great place to just run and climb and jump around!"

Sonnie waited. As eager and energetic as she was, it wasn't easy. The whole time she spoke, she unwrapped and rewrapped her red knit scarf around her neck. Twice.

[Mable Wood]

Mable slipped her arm into his and walked with the very handsome Irish violin player. She looked at Dirt Nap and gave a nod indicating all was well. Then she looked at Sonnie and gave a little eyebrow raise and mischievous smile.

"Hey everyone, looks like I am collecting old friends tonight. I was able to steal him away from his fans." She looked at Conner smiling, "You really are wonderfully talented."

"This is Clay, Sonnie, Sera, and Rhodes." She indicated each person.

[Seraphina]

At that moment, that’s the only place she wanted to be. But then he let her go, and the weightless feeling was gone. And she reminded herself not to read too much into things. Yet still she looks to Rhodes through her lashes, “Maybe.” A light playful shrug.

There was a light musical laugh, if only the others knew how true that statement was. She looks to Sonnie and winks.

Looking to Clay, “Maybe you can share some facts with us when we see them.” But what was with the ma’am thing?

The smirk was returned, “I look forward to it!” she was sure Sonnie would be more entertaining than a tour guide. “A parkour gym?” the name sounded familiar, “I’m always up for trying new things, so give me a call sometime and I’ll join you. But,” she says, attempting to look serious, “you can’t laugh at me falling. If you do, I won't buy you frozen yogurt after.” She says with a smile.

Finally, Mable returns, with a new face in tow. She spies the violin, and wonders if he was the one playing.

Either way, she flashes a friendly smile, “That was you playing?” asks the angelic voice, “I agree with Mable, you’re very talented.”

[Rhodes]

Rhodes eyes linger on Sera as she bats her lashes. For a second, his breath feels sucked away. All he wants is to kiss her, hold her.... followed by rising anger and bitterness - not towards Sera, but of what feeling that way reminds him of - emotions that echo without the forgotten memories to drive them. It's so strange, that wave of feeling, never knowing why. The Flowering's hand never leaves hers.

It was nice to be joined by knowledgeable folks. The Dread Lord loved to learn, even if it wasn't magical. "How did you both learn about fauna? Grow up with animals, a personal passion?" He asks both Clay and Sonnie.

Rhodes gives Sera a playful leer. "Look at her already. You want to give her more sugar?" he chuckles.

He nods at the violinist, agreeing with the girls' compliments. "It was beautiful. I love Vivaldi. Where did you learn?"

[Dirt Nap]

Dirt Nap nods amiably to the newcomer with Mable,"Nice to see you." he says, "Like the Lady said, you can call me, 'Clay'. What do you go by?" he asks Connor.

He nods to Seraphina, "Yes, Ma'am. If Sonnie needs any help, I could try helping out with that." he agrees, respectfully.

To Rhodes' question he smiles, "Well, I have an interest in animals of all kinds, and really only know a lot about horses. I train them for my living."

[Sonnie Wu]

Sonnie smiled and waved at Conner, when Mable brought him over, in her usual cheery manner, "HellooOOooOOoo!"

A wry grin was thrown at Sera, "Well, that is a dire threat. But don't worry, everyone falls down some their first time there. I won't laugh at you... much." Wait, did she whisper something there at the end?

Seeing everyone together, at long last, Sonja gestured towards the zoo entrance like a tour guide. "Shall we, then?" Without really waiting for an answer, the young woman spun on her heel and started walking to the ticket booth, where she would pay for herself and enter the zoo proper. Having been to the zoo before, she knew the way to the primate exhibits, and headed in that direction.

[Mable Wood]

When Conner said 50 years, Mable gave a cute roll of her eyes, "Irish men do like to exaggerate" she said smiling in a flirty manner. "However, we do not. You are magnificent, and I would love to hear more sometime. but it looks like Sonnie may hop skip and jump her way to the monkeys if we don't get a move on." Mable teased.

"Sonnie, the zoo is free tonight. Or are you leaving a donation?" ​Mable figured she would leave one herself to help care for the animals.
