He looks up from the dirt outside the big cat enclosure that he'd been studying intently.

The Dread Lord inclines his head to Sonnie. "I won't forget it."
gently brings the hand to his lips and brushed Sera's fingers with a kiss. "Let's.... put this behind us shall we? I've seen yours, and now you've seen mine?" A small smile tugs the corners.
He lets the others take the first few steps towards the zoo, moving with Sera, holding her hand gently. "So! What shall we see first? Monkeys for Sonnie?" he asks, clearly looking to move on from his exposure. As the scruffy-looking man heads over to them, the Flowering inclines his head to the new fellow. "Friend of yours?" he asks Mable.

The young Asian woman started towards the zoo, curious to see if it was indeed open this evening, but she paused when Dirt Nap appeared to greet Mable. Adjusting her red knit beanie, she said nothing, as Rhodes had already asked the pertinent question. Instead she studied his unkempt appearance and waited.
Not very patiently, but she waited.

"Clay, Hi how are you?" Mable gave Dirt Nap a bright smile, hoping she remembered the correct name. Mable nods to Rhodes.

With that simple gesture, her cheeks flushed as she smiled shyly, a nod of her head, Yes, lets put it behind us. And that was true, what happened at the Note. I suppose thats true. She still hated what happened.
Oh yes, the monkeys should be at the top of the list! they were always entertaining! Now the hand holding thing? She could get used to that.
A musical laugh at Sonnies words with a nod, I have no doubt about that! Ive always personally enjoyed them. Was it going to be weird for Sonnie?

Hi Clay! comes the angelic voice with a smile. Were about to go see the zoo.

Dirt Nap watches Mable and the variety of persons with her. "Sure, Ma'am. Thanks." he says. He smiles slightly, "First time here. The animals like it well enough." he says thoughtfully.

Rhodes pats the Treasured's hand. "Don't think about it, Sera. We are better than... than those things." Talking with mortals around was so restricting.
"I always loved watching the birds myself," he muses aloud. "So tell us, Mable, how do you and Clay know one another?" Conversation was so easy, and it helped forget the memories.
A handsome young man approached the festival area, eyes reflecting the pretty lights as he glanced around. A violin case was tucked under one arm, and he was dressed formally, yet with a casual twist, with no tie and his jacket over his shoulder. After all, in this climate, who would want to actually wear a jacket? He looked about at the milling people, smiling faintly, and walked to a likely spot, where he could put his back to a wall and sit down.
The vampire opened his violin case and began to tune the instrument. As he worked, his focus shifted entirely to the instrument and he handled it as if the body of a lover. It was an old thing, but clearly of superior craftsmanship, and lovingly maintained. Connor did not put out a tip jar, and he very carefully set away his violin case. He did not want to appear commercial tonight. Tonight, he simply wished to play, and share his music with those around him. There would be time to make money later. Besides, first impressions were everything, and he wanted to make a good impression to his kin.
After a brief warm-up, he began with a simple air, a bit of Vivaldi that was one of the first pieces he'd mastered. The piece was a favorite of his because it had a great deal of room for flair and effect. Once he finished warming up he could give a bit of a demonstration of his true talent.

Mantle"See? I knew you were a woman of exquisite tastes, Sera!" Sonnie smiled and sort of swayed from side to side as she waited for the group to continue moving towards the zoo. Holding still was not her strong suit. Still, she was trying to be thoughtful and patient as introductions were made.
"Hi Clay! I'm Sonnie! Wanna go see the monkeys?"
Well, she tried, anyway.
And then, there was violin music in the air. What was this all of a sudden? She cocked her head to one side and listened with curiosity. After a moment, she looked at the others. "I forget, does this festival have live music?"
