[Dirt Nap]

Dirt Nap aka Clay nods and smiles in agreement with both Seraphina and Rhodes as they comment on his obvious pleasure when talking about horse training.

He smiles too at Mable, acknowledging her acknowledgement.

In Sonnie he recognizes a passion similar to his own, and just listens, enjoying having someone along who seems to know what she's talking about.

He pauses to lean close to the barrier, looking at the white-faced saki.

"A longer live, is something." he muses.

[Mable Wood]

Mable's mind had become stuck on the thoughts of deforestation. After that she had stopped hearing for a few minutes as she thought about all the implications. Then Conner said something softly to her, "Different realities?" She murmured back.

Then the yellow ears caught her attention. "Oh, Mona Monkey? What puts them into that category?

[Seraphina]

Sapphires widen at the mention of smaller mammals, “I cannot even imagine how adorable they are as babies!” it was how her brain worked, smaller mammals equal adorable.

“Wow! 99%?! I never knew it was such a high number.” she looks back to the monkey, her brain working over the new bit of information. But then there was a frown, “That’s so sad. Something so cute and closely related to us shouldn’t know loss or sadness.” Not in her mind anyways.

Destroying their homes for fancy wooden floors? How barbaric was humanity?

“What beautiful coloring!” she remarks. “Cheek pouches? That’s neat!” the Nix then puffs out her own cheeks before giggling. The monkeys doing it probably cuter. “That’s very smart of them, to mix into other groups. Something to be said for safety in numbers.” A knowing look offered to Rhodes as she squeezed his hand. If anyone knew about that, it was Lost.

Mable asked a good question, and she eagerly waits to hear if Sonnie had the answer or not.

[Rhodes]

Rhodes lets the lecture continue, watching silently at the monkeys, but occasionally stealing glimpses at Sera.

[Sonnie Wu]

Sonnie smiled brightly at Mable, clearly enjoying this evening's opportunity to display her simian lore, "Mona monkeys are just what their species is called. I dunno why, I'm not a scientist, just a girl who loves primates!"

She nodded enthusiastically to Seraphina, clapping her hands together, "Sooo adorable! I'll show you pictures sometime!" The young woman glanced around the area for a second. "That's all the monkeys they have. But, there is also... lemurs!"

Quickly moving to the next exhibit, after waving goodbye to the mona monkeys, she stopped and waited for everyone to catch up. Once the little group had arrived, she grinned and gestured towards the next primate on Sonnie's Simian Zoo Tour.

"Presenting the lemur known as Coqueral's Sifaka!" The lemur in question perched on a tree branch and stared at it's audience with those bright yellow eyes. Rhodes and Sera might note that Sonnie's own fae eyes weren't too different in color. "They're called sifaka because of the sound they make. It sounds like 'shif-awk' when they cry out, to warn each other of predators. Though this one is kinda of quiet tonight, though. Probably because the leopards are in a different cage."

"This little dude is from Madagascar! Please note his beautiful white and maroon coat! Sifaka are amazing leapers! They can cover distances of up to 35 feet! They get around by jumping from tree to tree!"

Sonnie continued, "You can't see it unless he opens his mouth, but the sifaka, like all lemurs, has what's known as a toothcomb in their lower jaw. That's a set of special teeth used for grooming, and sometimes scraping the pits out of fruit!"

"Oh, and lemurs are matriarchal. So clearly they're very intelligent. A female lemur can often have several mates!" she smirked.

Sonnie continues her primate tour as long as the others are interested, after which she just enjoys chatting with the monkeys on her own time!

Still walking arm in arm with Conner, Mable grabs a business card from her pocket. "Conner, here is my number. If you need any help settling in or just need a friendly face. Call me. I would love to continue our conversation on the Mandela Effect sometime. It sounds like you have some interesting views."

"Sonnie, let's meet up to practice a few techniques I am working on."

"Rhodes and Sera, it was a pleasure meeting you folks."

"Clay, I will see you soon."

When everyone is ready I'll close the thread. Thank you all!

Sera looked from the lemur, to Sonnie and back. Noticing the eyes. "They're amazing." and adorable. "I'm going to have to steal you for another trip to the zoo sometime, I love how knowledgeable you are!" Sonnie was much more interesting then the regular tour guides.

And seemed the night was drawing to a close, looking to Rhodes, "Ready for that coffee?" she asks with a smile.

Sapphires look to Mable, "It was a pleasure to meet you! If you like coffee or tea, I have a coffee shop, you should stop by sometime." Mable seemed like a really nice girl.

Looking to Clay and the other guy, "Nice meeting you guys as well. Enjoy the rest of your evening!"
