Hey y'all. We're hitting 48 Hours for like the third time in this thread.
The way it's been set up is that only specific people can talk, yet those people who can continue to wait for those that can't talk to post. Or a reply is needed from someone, and they wait their turn while everyone else is just waiting on them.
Let's try to use some common sense about when to post so this can keep moving

Fisher watched as things were wrapping up. She had cast her vote and it was getting late. The few people in the audience must be getting restless by now and not much was going to get done at this point.
We really need to have pre-meetings to discuss things and try to persuade people to supporting policies or nothing is going to get done, Fisher thought to herself.
She focused on following things and popped a few more peanuts while listening to the Wayland drama. She was a little impressed with him for at least coming forward and wanting to make amends, Fisher would have to wait and see how well that worked out for him because she would really like to get along with him better.
However, as Wayland's response time slowly dragged out increasingly longer, Fisher looked down at the peanuts and smiled. She started to focus her will and maximize her physical ability and the spell flopped. She frowned and tried again. She focused her will on skill and her throwing arm and when that was finished she picked up a peanut and caught Tuesday's attention with a glance. She raised a peanut up and pantomimed opening her mouth to the other woman. Fisher then lobbed a peanut at the Unicorn's mouth.
"At the very least we need a break so I vote to adjourn as well. We can meet again and get a fresh perspective on some of the issues or even to allow us time to discuss them with one another." She added in agreement with the others.

Wayland waited for the consent from the other Councillors for Star's penance but realising none was coming he soldiered on. "I will abide by your chosen penance Councillor." Looking back at the members of his cabal, he wonders which one would be willing to take on that task.
"I'll let you know when someone has agreed to take me on, and when the start date is. Thank you." Having said what he'd wanted to get said for this night, Wayland sits back down, to see out the remainder of the meeting.

Strix gave Wayland a thumb up when he went to sit down again for seeking to make up officially for the way he had acted towards Star. He was curious to see just who Wayland would choose to 'apprentice' under for counsel.
But this meeting was really dragging out by now, little for him to do about it besides wait for one of the Councilors to allow them all to 'bounce', as Star had put it, and it did seem to him that they had talked about most things that seemed important at the time. He believed, Fisher and he had made it obvious that preparation for any other possible time-traveling incursion would be necessary. They can't always just rely on luck.
Even if the meeting did come to an end now, he'd not make his way back to the Témoin du Sud Sanctum but wait. He still wanted to attend Crowley's memorial, which he doubted would really take all that long.
With Fisher agreeing to adjourn it (and beginning to fling peanuts at people), he figured it was only a matter of time. There seemed to be a majority for ending for today, after all.

...Avis had a pretty good idea exactly who that would actually be.
But they'd have to see.
"I applaud the wisdom of the suggested penance," Avis said, nodding to Wayland instead of Star, "and I also agree that we should adjourn. Have a good evening, everyone."

But the Unicorn got it. Or at least understood. One didn't get out of an apprenticeship with Dea without that sort of understanding.
Then Fisher catches her eye. Tuesday blinks. Did she miss something? Was it an Important something?
Then the miming happens.
The unicorn grins.
And pops her mouth open, not caring what the gather mages would think.
The peanut hit's the mark and Tuesday crunches it with relish.
...
Now she wanted burgers. Or hotdogs.
She's certain that Fisher would be down for that.

Wow, she hadn't expected that from Wayland. Maybe he's growing? She wasn't sure, but his offer and Star's acceptance gave her a glimmer of hope for the Concilium. Though she did wonder who would take on the task. But it was something she could see Truce doing, he had the calm demeanor and wisdom to pull it off.
And that appeared to be it. Meeting was done and not much was accomplished. Though maybe that was partially her fault, she said she would support Truce and didn't do a good job. But she also knew what happened when someone argued their opinions and points. And it was a fight she didn't have in her anymore.
"Thank you everyone." she says with a warm smile.

First the foxfire that sprung up, then Tuesday's grinning and... was she going to yell or sing or...
And when the peanut went sailing, Wayland's somber and and penitent reply is simply met with the Councilor of the Mighty plunging his face into the pile of robes and deep, muffled sounds that were totally not laughter.

At some point the pitch black of the cotton that covered his face began to spark and shimmer as the Lie of breathing intruded and he lifted his head.
"Word."
Word, to all of it. Wayland, Wisdom, peanuts, bouncing.
"Okay. So, this was fun?" He stood, flushed face and all, and wavered for a moment as that oxygen thing started flowing again. "I mean, not, uh. Fun. Mostly because that whole Crowley thing, but, like. Good. This was good. Uh. No, Crowley dying wasn't good, either. Nice? Anyway. It... just... was. We're all good, right? So. I'm going to, like, get off this. Dias. Now."

Overall the meeting had not gone the way Truce had expected it. Though considering some of the meetings he's attended in the past, at least it went quite smoothly. He'd like to think it was because of his efforts at maintaining formality. One thing is clear, it has become exceedingly obvious where the power lies in the Council. Veiled Threats had shown everyone their camaraderie and unity in their beliefs, save for the matter of Banner Wardens which had been a spur of the moment suggestion.
Truce stands and speaks. "Meeting adjourned. Thank you for your attendance." Truce remains where he is for the moment. He looks a little wary and lost in thought. But eventually he would stand and begin collecting the table's contents and moving them off to the side. The chairs would go too, as he would prepare for the memorial service.
