Even though the Curator cared more about a lot of other things, there were still some words, some thoughts, that stung deep. And that just were so strong that you couldn't ignore them.
So it wasn't a happy Acanthus, nor a completely alcohol-free one, that dialed the number of a very opinionated Mastigos.

It didn't take long for the line to be picked up.
"Hello?" came the unenthusiastic greeting.
It seemed her charm was inescapable, over the phone or in person.

Even a lukewarm welcome would have been unexpected, so the greeting was well within the manageable range Miach had prepared to deal with with a rum-pineapple. Thankfully the second one was close at hand, because things could get messy real quick with the Arrow.
"Hello. This is Miach. I'd like to meet. Talk. Clear up the air,, maybe..." was there anything else to add, really ? probably not. So why couldn't he help himself ? "So, what say you ?" he finished, his hand already wrapped around his glass, ready to bring it to his lips.

"Says me...yes," Avis replied into the phone, her voice bemused.
"You want to meet at the museum, or am I still person non gralta?" she asked, the butchering of such a simple phrase painfully clear to the doctor.

Unclenching slightly at the positive answer he seemed to have gotten for now, Miach still didn't reply at once. Tyria was no more handling that particular Consilium's business, right ? But on the other hand, she was still his boss, and may look down on him rescinding her decisions... Damn, he would deserve that drink.
"There, your turf, anyplace really. Whatever works for you." the easy way out ?

"I'd like to see the museum again, if you don't mind," Avis replied after some time, the swell and withdrawal of background noise accounting for the brief interruption of the call.

Reining in a wince, Miach soberly went on. "Sure. How about <date/time>, for instance ? " Being the Curator offered the advantage of having a set of keys even for the evening...

"Sounds good. I'll see you then." And then the line was cut. Perhaps mercifully...

As soon as the line went dead, the Acanthus heaved a sigh of relief, and before he knew it, he was already gulping down his glass. And now, to prepare for the next step...
