She had been kinda avoiding making this call, enjoying flying below the radar per say. But she had responsibilities and it was time, so she picks up the piece of paper and makes the call.

As Ixidor's second phone, the cheap one that is reserved for new Thearchs in town, blares some Austrian Death Machine. He is a little bit surprised. It's like they're crawling out of the woodwork, recently. Not that he's complaining. Could be a good thing.

"This is Ixidor speaking," he says, fortunately not in public, this time. There is a faint sound of rushing wind on the speaker. Not as though he's in a car or anything, but definitely outside, somewhere.

She smiles to herself, was Ixidor a shadow name she wonders. Not that her shadow name was all that odd, she still decides to stick with her other name, just in case it wasn’t a secure line.

“Hi Ixidor, this is Madison Cross.” Said the cheerful Acanthus . “I have recently arrived in town and was told you were the one I needed to speak with regarding political matters.”

Another lady, too. People are going to start thinking that he's got an Awakened harem, or groupie arrangement going on, or something. Oh well.

"Madison, huh? Well, welcome. The more the merrier, and all that stuff."

Slick.

"If political matters are what you're interested in, sure. I can run my mouth all day. When are you free to have a chat in person?"

“Thanks for the welcome!”

He sounded laid back, she liked laid back, made life easier.

“Wonderful! My schedule is pretty much wide open, I kinda set my own work hours.” She said with a smile. Being self-employed was great. “Not knowing your schedule, how does (insert date and time) work for you?”

[Ixidor]

"Being able to dictate your own schedule is empowering, isn't it?" Somehow, the dry amusement of his tone imparts the lazy smile on his face.

"That's perfect for me. If you've already got a place in mind for that time and date, consider me impressed."

Hopefully, he's got another that really has her shit together on his hands.

Then he was going to be impressed, which always helped when trying to make a good impression.

“I just happen to know of a coffee house, called Coffee Garden at (insert address). I also just so happen to be able to get us a more private sitting area to be able to talk.” She replied as her fingers moved over her laptop filling out the form to reserve a meeting room. “They have great coffee, and there is usually a local live band playing.” Even if he didn’t like coffee, he should like music right? I mean, everyone likes music!

"Well alright then!" Yep, got her shit together.

"Sounds like a plan. I'll see you there, Miss 'Madison Cross'."

It comes across playfully. Obviously, he is wondering with some amusement whether this is a carefully devised Shadow Name intended to pass as a sleeper name, or just something that is stamped onto a fake ID. Surely she isn't giving him her real name. Then again, it's not like he hides his.

Because, well, he can't.
