Grand Opening: Nox

Faith wasn't sure about going to Nox. With one party already utterly destroyed for her, the prospects didn't look good. The young mage hoped that this party will be crazy in more positive way. Especially since she learned that it's a grand reopening of the club. Maybe there will be some VIPs. Maybe some investors. Just having a good time would be nice...

So the redhead came to the club. She felt a little bit out of her place in there, even though she looked fiery and she was armored and armed with confidence-boosting clothes - she loved wearing red and she wore black to that only to give it some accents. The design was nice, the lights were nice (and good luck finding any Obrimos that didn't like some good lasers anyway), the crowd was big but smaller than she expected, the music not her style but decent. Still, the little off feeling remained. Damn, I'm becoming Eleagia. No fun, no-nonsense Eleagia. Noooo way. With this thought, Faith started trying to get through the crowd to the bar. She needed some encouragement.

[Velma]

A club opening like Nox’s was an event not to miss.

To those who lived for the entertainment business it was an opportunity to see and be seen.
To those who were famous enough to get into the VIP it was a chance to stand out and make a statement.
For Velma it was a bit of both and more.

Dressing to impress, a fashionable red dress that did little to hide her long legs, it embraced her waifish frame, her small waist and chest but allowed her shoulders bare. The Succubus was standing on a pair of high heeled stilettos, blood red to match her dress and her juicy lips, they all stood out against the alabaster of her legs, the fair white of her swan like neck and the grey blue of her eyes.

Meanwhile the Ravager had been standing in the upper floor, relaxing at the VIP, allowing time to pass through her; it didn’t affect her like it did affect mere mortals. She was immune, and it invoked in her a sudden sense of ennui, to think she could just pass and move along because tomorrow she would still be here, in a decade, in a century.

The songstress shook those notions away and smiled... there were too many plans to see to fruition before thinking about resting, at least for tonight. Her footsteps took her to a vantage point over which she surveyed the roiling throng of party goers at the dance floor.
She would be down there in a few moments.

[Asa]

Asa got close enough to see Edwin, and gave him a friendly smile and nod, arching an eyebrow at his dancing partner before moving on.

Well, that's twice now. Either I need to move faster, or...

The smile wasn't entirely manufactured. Thinking of slowing the other man down with a stake was a pleasant thought. Thoughts of the competitive streak of a Lord, lack of recent competition, and other such were replaced by surprise as he caught a familiar sight -- one he thought long gone.

...But it wasn't Tracy. Just a petite redhead, and the echoes of earlier thoughts.

Cute, though.

He gestured to @Faith , with a grin and one leg pulsing to the beat.

Dance with me.

It was so sudden. She was just manoeuvring through the crowd, and the next minute she noticed him. Asa was looking straight at her, she realised after a split second. Is he really looking at me? Oh yes, he is. The thought got mixed with others: But there's so many prettier girls, Hm, just how old is he?, Could he know who I am for real?, Damn, he looks good, and then one dominated all: Screw Banishers and Seers, screw the drink, screw everything, I wanna dance and sing.

With a smile on her face and swaying to the rhythm, Faith comes over to Asa. The young Obrimos isn't the naturally graceful type but she definitely isn't rhythm-blind and she knows her moves.

Even more important, she knows how to enjoy herself. Without a single world, she joins the man in the dance, complementing him rather than dancing on her own. Flame of the hair flows freely, and the woman is basking in the joy of dance (and joy for attention, but she was always too Prideful to admit that).

Dance like the death is coming tomorrow.

OK, then.

It was a pleasant surprise that she wasn't just a bouncer, bobber, or thank god a twerker. As he let the music flow through him and guide his movements, he realized it had beena long time. Keeping Tracy upright hadn't really counted. He grinned in genuine appreciation of her effort and let go, riding the gentle surge of the music in his blood and matching it to the rhythm and beat.

Are you ready? Hell, yeah.*

With relaxed abandon and expertise, he bridged @Faith 's movements with his own and the music; dancing with her, close, but not touching. Maybe, just for a while, Asa Clarke didn't have to be a Prince. Or an Unconquered. Or a Ventrue.

Just a guy, with a girl, and a beat.

[Alicia Serrano]

The music was like the moon above this sea of surging dancers and that more than anything else obliterated the last of the Storm Lord's thoughts of doom and trepidation. She wasn't alone here tonight, she was with Luna, and she relaxed fully into the moment. She watched her partner move, assessing his skill, and she saw his lips move though her ears never caught the words above the thrum of the music. In the midst of her dance she raised a hand to her ear and mouthed 'what?'. She turned, dialing down her dancing so her back was to him and he'd have an easier time reaching her ear. It was in the movement of that spin that she caught sight of an even more stunning male specimen and the brief smile he shot at Edwin and the look he gave her. Alicia watched as the man walked away, wondering about the brief exchange, but soon the striking man entered into a dance with a redhead and Alicia focused her attention on her own dancing partner. The music acting as both leash and guide, she tried to match her movements to Edwin Bridges and make him look and feel good about his dancing.

[Morgan Bellanar]

Getting inside had been easy, there were few clubs the Beast couldn't get into. Though some she simply wouldn't. Morgan's attire of choice to this soiree was actually a decent choice for clubbing. Half-tank top, short sleeve jacket that only went down to her abs, and a mid-thigh skirt, all in dark blues and black colors. The short-heeled pumps didn't look as good as high-heels would have, but at least they matched her outfit.

She'd been wary at first but some courage juice, whiskey shots, helped. And now, she enjoying herself on the dance floor. Her moves were well controlled though nothing near graceful. The little brunette was no Dancer but she was avoiding the awkward-white-person dance and enjoying herself.

Even if she had to avoid other people on occassion. She kept having to relocate on the dancefloor as couples kept cropping up. She giggled and waved a hand in apology as she almost bumped into another duo, a cute redhead with a handsome man, and spinning past them somehow managed to avoid several other folks. The giggles stopped, as did her spinning, when Morgan got a dizzy spell. "Whoa....too-too spiny," one hand on her head and another on her stomach, this was a familiar feeling from too much fun, "no more booze-night, switch-water."

She headed towards for bar to get something without alcohol (what a change of pace). It was probably a good thing she'd not gone with high-heels. She'd have crashed into someone by now.

As he moved closer to the dark haired beauty, Edwin caught the smile and nod from the dignified man, a person whom he had seen several times already around the Domain, in various establishments. From his meeting with Martha, the Lord quickly put the information into perspective.

Oh, fuck.

This guy must be the Prince. Edwin had wanted to met His Grace under different circumstances but this would certainly be something to talk about when the time came.

For now, it was time to dance, and as Alicia mouthed to her, Edwin simply shook his head with a smile, instead allowing himself to move closer into her back as she turned, mimicking the rhythm of her hips with his own, allowing himself to be aided. Gently lowering his hands on her hips, Edwin found the dance something he could keep up with and even though he wouldn't admit it, he was thankful for his partner taking the lead.

Up there from her haughty perch Velma kept surveying.

She let the sound wash her mind and clean her soul of everyday worries.

It was a refreshing experience, even if the Daeva wasn’t too fond of electronic music, music was music, and good music was good music but some stains didn’t just go away with your regular soap and hot water…

I guess I need to drink some more…

The songstress went back to the VIP and forced her vitae to run through her to enliven her flesh and color her cheekbones. She grabbed a bottle of champagne and two flutes; now she just needed to find her drinking partner, she already had someone in mind.

After traversing the dance floor Velma reached Martha, she displayed the two flutes and the bottle in her direction, a large silly smile already painted in her face. She was the pusher now.

”Hello Martha!” and with that Velma lowered the two flutes and started removing the cork.

POP! It would have been an audible pop but the bass trampled it into anonymity.

She served the bubbling drinks generously and extended a glass to Martha.

”We should get drunk tonight!!” It was an invite, for celebration and liberation…

[Martha Villiers]

Martha was fascinated by the whole thing. There were so many le...people to see and watch and the music was infectious.

She watched Asa and those near him dance and groove and circle each other like alternating roles of hunter and prey.

But the crowd moved and she had to keep moving with it.

Swirling her cloak, she hobbled closer to the edge of the dance floor and noticed the lady in blues and grays with her abs showing and the mini-skirt to match...fascinated, Martha followed her to the bar.

Just as Martha was realizing she'd seen the lay before at a local comic shop, Velma appeared with the Champagne flutes.

"Ah! Good evening!" she chirped at Velma's greeting and tried to be heard over the music.

She accepted the offered drink and smiled. Getting drunk wasn't something she'd done a lot of...but, tonight seemed like a celebration. Wide eyed and clearly excited now.

Martha raised her glass to Velma in salute and nodded to Asa too, to celebrate his dancing and awesomeness...and joined Velma in a happy toast.
