(1110) (Oak) Julianne, Martha and Ixidor

[Martha Villiers]

Tiny Martha, all smiles and enthusiasm, watches the performance with obvious glee. She even wriggles a little, as if swaying gently in time with the beat Ixidor creates by his actions and song. Watching the elaborate preparations and risky business of glasses getting crashed and moved.

Wide eyed. It is certainly exciting!

Martha was left feeling Ixidor could read out the instructions for a fire drill and make them compelling.

Just for a moment she thought she understood why the Daeva seemed prone to Embracing people...

With wide eyed excitement, she picks up a glass as urged by Ixidor. Martha raised it in a genuine and sincere salute to Ixidor and Co and, following Julianne's lead, downed it in one excited gulp...to match Julianne's actions. Blinking as the liquid made it's way inside. Glad she had invested in Blush. Not giving much thought to the aftermath in the restroom later.

"Ah! What an unusual taste!" she gasped. "Goodness, sir! Thank you!" she gasps, nodding gratefully to Ixidor, not just for the drink: but his show too. Nodding with respect. Adding an audible and enthusiastic clap.

"Oh, indeed, miss!" she enthuses by way of reply to Julianne's remark. "Most impressive!" she adds with joy.

Ixidor places a hand to the tattoos across his stomach and gives a small 'modest' bow to the applause. If only the ringleader knew what he was entertaining... well, would he act any different?

Eh, probably not.

"It can sneak up on you pretty fast," Ix says conversationally, swirling another glass as he offers a description. "The combination of an energy drink and alcohol, which is a downer, o' course, can trick people into thinking they're combating the effects."

He tosses the drink back nonchalantly, before gesturing to the line on the bar with the empty glass. "Then it hits you like... well... a train." There's a wry smile.

Then, answering Gordy's earlier question, "I decided to drop in to get a look at the costumes, honestly. I love this sorta thing. So far, I haven't been disappointed. Let's just hope that I can still make it to my room after I step away from this bar."

Martha was content to watch Julianne at work. With her regal bearing, even her Zombie presence seemed to make it easy to assume Julianne would take the lead in conversation now. After sneaking another look at Julianne's faux-maimed leg and foot, Martha smiled to Gordon and Ixidor. Happily and delicately playing with her empty drinks glass and watching as conversation unfolded. She wanted to talk to Gordon and offered him a smile of invite, but she felt it rude to talk over Julianne...moreso when Ixidor was now offered a golden opportunity to say something Cool.

While the little magician checks out the zombie's leg, Ixidor looks at hers. Leaning casually against the bar, he glances conversationally to them all.

"Unfortunately, I don't think they'll let me camp out here on the bar, so I guess I'll have to leave eventually." He shrugs before adding nonchalantly, "I usually take my cue when the bartender lifts my head off the counter to clean under it."

Still thoroughly pleased that there was at least one beautiful person in Sactown that didn't have a clue who he was, Ixidor relishes the idea of changing that in the coming months.

"Well, that is what I do for a living, actually. Entertain people, that is. In all things musical. Thought I might settle the area for a while, and see what Sacramento makes of me."

Martha feigns brief ignorance of his awesome musical reputation and back catalogue...all of which she was familiar with. "Ohh!" she coos, all wide eyed. Though the wide eyed fan-girl response was genuine! "I simply adore music!" she enthuses and wiggles slightly as she needlessly adjusts her top hat and stands away from the bar. Balancing carefully. "I'd simply love to watch you perform some more, sir! Have you any gig arranged? Anywhere to play? I would love to help with that, sir! I'm not sure quite how I could...but I should wish to very much!" she offers, all sincere and eager. Joining in Gordon, Julianne with her happy nods to Ixidor at this. Cane still held under one arm, her busy hands make more gentle fluttering gestures to emphasise her outward happiness.

Ixidor grins at Martha and chuckles. He points loosely in her direction and gives his wrist a little wag. "Tell you what, for being so entertaining tonight, when I do get something set up, you'll have the backstage pass, or prime seating, or whatever the case may be. Truth is, I've not been in town very long." Not even long enough to sleep. "I figure I'll check out the scene for a few days before I start scheduling. Might hold an audition or two, actually. I normally play without accompaniment, but you never know..."

He takes another of the Jδger Bombs in his hand and prepares to down it. "...Finding some people who can put up with me longer than a few days could be cool."

As the glass clops back to the bar, Ix can start to feel that dizzy buzz behind his eyes. Oh yeah, that's the spot. Make Daddy happy.

"You might be able to help, though. Know any good places? Any good musicians? Hell, if nothing else, you can spread the word."

Martha smiled brightly. Delighted at the generous offer by Ixidor. "Thank you, sir! Thank you very much!" she enthused and shared a look of knowing and slight, if not quite mischief, then certainly something close to it, with Julianne.

Soon she was all wide eyed eagerness. Martha followed Julianne's lead and downed another Jaeger as she listened and gave some thought to Ixidor's words and project.

Another bright smile as she hiccuped at the drink. Dainty gloved hands swiftly moved to mask another hiccup. The Blood...the Blood could follow at any moment. She blinked bashfully.

"Ah..." she gasped, so eager was she to share her thoughts and own, suddenly busy, plans, "Carpe Nocturnum, and all that, sir! But...I am in a fortunate position, sir, to know a few people who work at a local nightclub. The Reverance. It is a nightclub, sir, which specialises in the Gothic...it could be worth exploring to see if they may be convinced to try the sort of music that strays away from the AOR normative. Good music, sir. Quality with Heart and Soul!" she nods, clearly meaning Ixidor's work, "If you wish, I could happily take your details and maybe, sir, with a fair wind to guide our plans, it may provide a suitable venue to host a gig!" she offered, all excited at her plan and the ability to offer help. Her enthusiasm for her scheme was obvious and sincere.
