[West (The Mage)]

West remained standing, fading back towards the periphery of the conclave. The city's first Sentinel watched as the new iteration of the Council formed, memorizing faces. A smile tugged at one corner of his mouth as he saw Joshua had been conscripted, but he quickly suppressed it.

So few of us, still.

Tech juts his chin forward as the Hierarch makes his point known. "Absolutely none, sir." In public. That bitch ever threatens me with the cops again ill fuckin throat her while she sleeps. He smirks at Rosh's support, but otherwise remains silent as he waits for any formalities that might be coming.

[Ariadne]

Ariadne stands quietly near the back watching as those chosen trickled into their seats. It seemed odd that so many people she knew were there but that seems to be the way things go here. I wonder if anyone has looked into what causes the turn over in this city. Taking a glance around she looks for any reaction to the gathering Councilors.

While the other groups discuss, Henry's eyes scan over them, not stopping on any single person. The Acanthus, then the Obrimos, then the Moros (however small that group may be), then the Thyrsus; Finally, he looks at each of the Mastigos in turn. He makes a small motion in Ariadne's direction, two fingers pointed at eyes, then pointed at the Councilors' table. It takes only the briefest of instants, but it's definitely there.

Finally, once the others have all chosen their representative, the Epopt steps forward and takes his own place at the table, silently. He could almost have put bets on the results. But the results weren't important. The results of the results were.

[Animus]

With the Councilors finally seated, Animus surveys the sanctuary's occupants, a fresh pang of loss and doubt burrowing through him. For half the people here, this simply won't have context. Am I deluding myself by thinking I'm leading anything but a giant charade?

There's a moment of hesitation before the Thyrsus forces himself to speak. "For many months, a spell gathered power at the Tower Bridge in an attempt to draw the Abyss into the Fallen. That threat has been abated through the work of many, but at the cost of a great deal of strain on the city's Ley Lines. Perhaps someone more directly involved can fill in the details on the lines' current state."

The Hierarch allows himself a brief, rueful smile. "But it would seem threats to the Consilium don't end simply because one has been dealt with. Recently we've spotted near city hall a mage with prominant veins creeping up his neck. He keeps a Hallow with a strong enough aspect of death resonance to cause the nearby area to bleed into Twilight, and is to be considered highly dangerous. If any have further discussion to add to these or other issues, now is the time."

"What are we to do with the stones?" Technique asks, barely missing a beat after the Hierarch stopped. "If they acted as anchors, im not sure what can, or should, be done, but we do have options. Including breaking them and freeing whatever trapped soul is inside. There is also the possibility that the Banishers might be able to track the stones down just as we have."

[Dark Passenger]

Mike taps the fingers of his left hand on his chest as he waits, almost getting bored. It's more fun watching people with Stevie.

But as soon as the Hierarch starts to speak he pricks up his ears, at least he assumes it is the Hierarch. Big spell, interesting. Abyss and the Fallen, crazy shit. Mage, shrug. Death resonance... now we're getting somewhere!

Any futher issues? I don't know your name... a point of discussion, people should introduce themselves before speaking. The Moros shakes his head, all he could do is think. So he continued to do just that.

Stones? As in... oh yeah. What an interesting history here.

Ahriman raise his eye brow and shifts, noting that Tech was quiet correct in his assumptions. Banishers were mages and had the same techniques as the pentacle at their disposal. Fighting them for the stones would be difficult, if what he knew of banishers held true. These people fought for a cause, a reason, and how ever twisted that reason was they were dedicated. People who were dedicated fought harder than those with out a cause. Not that the Pentacle didn't have a cause. They had one, but ask 29 awakened to tell you it and you would get 31 answers. He loved that, it made him happy to see people being individualists, but it was at times frustrating and dangerous when going up against groups like the banishers. These things required cooperation and often he found other mages lacking in that regard. Hell, he thought looking up at Tech, the little squabble he had witnessed between two mages over SMOKING had been proof enough for that.

Though lets be fair: that might just be his nature to pick fights. I really shouldn't judge yet, nor on the actions of one Acanthus. They have managed to mitigate the issues facing their city and this is just clean up and healing. The big issue is a mage with veins in his neck and a nasty hallow. Perhaps I am selling them short or don't know the whole story.

He looked around the room once more, and again notes the lack of mages.

West glanced at his watch, wondering how long they were going to stare at one another.

Ahriman waits, expecting more discussion, and when there is none he pauses before standing.

"Excuthe me." he speaks slowly, choosing his words and has to remind himself not to let his voice shake as he speaks. "But ah have to athk more about thethe stones. Why are they here? where did they come from ? How were they formed? What is the banither'th intretht in them? Why are thethe important enough to track down and eliminate? What other options are there? Can we uthe them ourthelves? "
