Erika's eyes narrowed, looking from the stricken Sidor to Alice.
Without another word, she turned and began walking, leaving.
Erika's eyes narrowed, looking from the stricken Sidor to Alice.
Without another word, she turned and began walking, leaving.
Alice smiles in triumph. Mekhet going back to the shadows, Nosferatu sticking in a twig. The world was just a bit more perfect now.
'Think twice before you plan an attack on a Daeva. Au Revoir.' And Alice walks away with firm steps, in the opposite direction of Erika.
The pain was momentary, fleeting. A practiced user of Licencieux would know that it would last only for a moment. As the foolish Daeva turned her back and stepped away, Sidor muttered the words to complete his ritual. The twig was not lost, after all. He had swallowed it within her sight. All the components were in place.
As Sidor attempts to marshall his will to punish the Daeva, nothing happens.
Say What?
As Alice continues walking with quick steps, she looks over her shoulder once.
From one side she expects Sidor to come after her, like a... what was it again? Oh yeah, like a rabid water rat.
On the other side, Alice hopes that the Nosferatu had realized she could inflict the pain again, and again, well, and again. Julien, her Sire, had certainly given her enough training on that part.
Sidor spat the twig out in disgust, and counselled himself. No, it would be wrong to breach the Masquerade to punish her anyway. He should not let his temper get the better of him, even beneath everything. But when the stupid little whore looked back at him, the shadows on his face pulled taunt into a horrifying snarl.
"You foolish little girl. You may think you have won a victory here, but all you have done is assured your ruin. Run home, little whore, and pray that you might have another night of this unlife."
OOC
If no one objects, we'll return to full narration. Alice can roll Resolve + Composure to Resist the Intimidation Skill roll, with a +3 bonus for 'winning' the 'encounter'. If she does not match or exceed 6 successes, appropriate role-play is expected.
Alice stops walking as she is captured by the snarl. 'What th-' In a split second her gun is in her hand, pointing at Sidor. But her voice stocks as Sidor's continues talking. The Daeva does a step back.
'Whore.... you dare callin....' It was meant to come out loud, and SHOOT!
However, that didn't happen. Alice's hands started shaking instead, and her voice had given up completely after it said one poor thing. As soon as the word unlife falls, she drops her gun.
Alice might have made one victory tonight, but leaving the park just seemed better and better. What if the scary monster came after her?!
And so Alice ran. With her hair blowing in the wind she ran...
Alice exit scene... and quick!
Quite good, but not good enough
Sidor dusted himself off and looked at the fallen gun. He scooped it up and stashed it in the pocket of his jacket. A little proof was always useful. His tongue ran across his sharp teeth and he laughed internally as he walked away. A slight twitch of wounded pride was more than enough to control himself.
He had asked for a sign of purpose.
What had been set in motion this night was purpose enough.
