Michael considered repeating what he had just said, that he didn't feel his knowledge was yet at the level it needed to be but seeing the sultry Madison Wells walking away and coming back after changing changed his mind.
One thing was sure, he would he to do his best not to mess this up.

"So, partial suspension?" Michael asked as he took off his jacket and loosened his tie. As much as he might enjoy full he didn't feel near enough confidence to give into that lust.

Madison nods. "Yes." She turns to Asa. "If he does it correctly, does that mean you will speak to us?"
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
"Full, of course," Asa replied to Michael. He turned to regard the diminutive Paladin. "If he puts on a proper show, then perhaps. Do you think he can paint a proper picture of a Lord using you as a canvas?" he asked with a predatory grin.

|
Madison looks from Asa to Michael and then back to Asa. "Honestly? No, I do not. Nor do I feel I can put on a show that will satisfy one such as yourself. However, I am willing to try and that is what should make the difference. Isn't it?"
Now she wasn't talking about anything that had to do with what Michael was preparing for.
Mairsil Petrov listened to the whole conversation between Madison and Asa play out as they stood watching the performance. Honestly, he was not pleased in the least bit at what he heard. Sexually charged conversation, is this what the city's Prince and Ventrue Priscus occupied his time with?
Perhaps it should have been you who left the meeting first...
The Architect shook his head as he walked away.

Victoria sat there a long while just watching the others leave, and could not believe what she had just witnessed.
The collective Lords of Sacramento sat down, had a little caring is sharing moment and that was it? That was ALL the whip had for them? My drones drones could have drafted up a better meeting plan by drooling a puddle on the table.
She got up from her chair and made her way back to the changing room. There was no way in hell that she was going to stay in this God-awful suit any longer than she needed to. She quickly changed out of the suit and replaced it with another uniform of quite a different nature. As she put on her previous clothes she felt her sense of self returning and the layers of propriety slipping away. She could be herself again and cut loose.
After changing she made her way out to the main floor of the club. There she found Asa, the Prince, talking with two from the meeting. Victoria was beginning to miss the fact that the man was no longer mysterious as he once had been, however, she still found him intriguing and was determined to find out what manner of man he was. The gathering looked like it was about to get interesting. She approached Asa from behind and brushed her shoulder up against him with the lightest possible touch, before settling for a position next to him.
"Hey there handsome. Sorry, but I didn't feel like waiting," she whispered in his ear while smiling apologetically. "So are they going to do a scene for us?"

Asa nodded seriously to Madison's question, even as he turned to watch Mairsil leave. Either the man didn't understand what was happening here, or he didn't care. Either was... a poor accounting of himself.
Then again, do any of them understand?
Asa felt Victoria's Beast approaching, even as his Auspex-heightened senses began to seperate her scents from the rest of the club. The lack of Antoinette's disgusting, cloying perfume told him that she had changed, and he spoke without looking at her, responding to her words and touch. "You need to address me as Mr. Clarke, Miss Stamford," he said softly, but firmly, making a slight gesture to include the other Kindred.
"Do you know who I am now?" he asked, turning his head to look at her, with only a hint of the former amused smile.

She nodded to Asa in understanding as he spoke. That was the line in the sand that Victoria had been expecting, the line between a Prince and his subject. This knowledge still did not keep her from the regret at the loss of what the two of them shared before.
"I understand Mr. Clarke and am aware of who you are," Victoria said respectfully. "Although I did not have the pleasure of your surname until this moment. You need not concern yourself, I will conduct myself as is proper." She finished with a nod to the same kindred that Asa himself had just pointed out and acknowledging that she understood.
"One question Mr. Clarke, that thing we discussed earlier. Is it still a go?" while Victoria's voice was entirely proper and respectful, the same spark was still present as her gaze met his.

Madison watched the interaction between Victoria and Asa with a slight frown. Maybe she had allowed their little joke with Michael go too far. If the Prince became distracted by this other kindred, she was not going to get her audience and her little display would be for nothing. She looks at Michael with a bit of impatience. "Are we ready, my friend?"
