"Ha! Good one," she approves of the pun. And despite being at most half Kray's size, Sonja was quite the eater. Must be all the cardio. "I am shocked how much she can eat, she isn't that big. Metabolism is bullshit, though I KNOW she likes chocolate and bacon. Possibly in combination, maybe in pancakes."

    Okay, that does sound tempting.

The paintings get a look, though she has no idea. "Just because someone paints it, doesn't mean they famous," she rubs her chin, "Could thus qualify as knock offs all and yet originals. Probably ways to tell which is a copy or forgery, but I didn't research that," she drops her hand from her chin then shrugs. "I ain't buying 'em. So not my circus needing monkeys. Or backdrops. Posters. This analogy is escaping me."

"Hmm?" Circe gives a confused hum. She had to win it? After folks saw her lift it with ease, who was going to argue with her on it? She blinks. Right, Summer negotiations not valid in mortal markets. Restraint and yadda yadda. "Right, have to figure out what kind of twine or cabling you want run through. Probably long lasting stuff. And," she looks back whence they'd come. Circe may try to distance herself from Fairest's negative traits. Like arrogance and self-assured delusions. Yet she is confident right now: "I doubt there are that many radiator enthusiasts at this place. Shouldn't be much competition. I doubt there is anyone out there with a room full of old radiators. That'd be like finding a room of old toilets or...something...shit." Bad example as the two of them HAD found that in the Tunnels.

Yet one could argue they had not, for the toilets had not been old when they'd gone into storage. She pauses to tilt her head at one of the rugs. She points it out to Kray. "Dude. My dude. Is that rug just a big ass chicken?"

Circe chuckles as she has an explanation for why it is his luck likely. It is a great quote. "Oh ho ho ho, Johnny, Johnny, my friend Johnny. My luck," she places a hand on her chest. "My luck is sometimes like a squirrel. That has eaten its weight in cocaine, taken meth, and drank a quartet of Red Bulls mixed with LSD. Oh ho ho ho," she is amused but she recalls the incident as an example. "For instance, sunny bikini Caribbean vacation that my work paid for me to go on. Interruption to it? A swarm of drugged up fighting roosters."

That'd been a weird one, even by Wyrd standards.

"Thank you though John. It is nice to not forget good times," she means it. She is genuinely grateful. It was better than remembering bad times or bad food. Or the aftermath of bad foods, that wasn't fun. Cautionary sure, but not fun. "Beats culinary, cautionary memories. Still, thanks for cheering me up even if by accident John."

He hadn't meant to make the pun but Circe had clearly seen it in his phrasing so he grunts acknowledgement of it regardless. "Uh. Well I have seen her get very hyped over food trucks, uh she had one she recommend and went from lower energy to off the walls when she found out it was near by." The problem was he had quite forgotten what food truck that was. "So. I would have said she has a sweet tooth but I think her palette is more diverse then that." Still sweets sounded like they would do the trick.

He was not going to be bidding for the paintings either and readily moves on. "Ah. I'll admit it is not an area I know all that much about. Makes it easier to buy in some ways though I guess." Just get what worked rather then hunting for specifics. "Hm. Still I bet the originals have quite the stories attached to them." And that would be worth an awful lot more then the paint and canvas.

Now as for Circe radiator. "Uh. Well I would bet on you winning it to boot but stranger things and all that." They lived in a wyrd world after all. And Circe finds her own example. "Huh. Yeah exactly something like that might happen." Pauses as it dawns on him it need not be anything so odd even. "Ah. Or someone else might just want the metal." The summer queen was likely not the only one on the prowl for repurposable parts or reusable materials.

The giant tilts his great head but maybe it is the angle difference but he cant quite make it out. "Uh. Sorry I can't be sure on that one." Still not much of one he would be after.

The link didn't work for me sorry :(

He thinks, he stops, he starts, he thinks again an stops. "Uh. Well that squirrel would be very lucky to live through all that. One way to look at it." Horrible experience but if the outcome was no harm done then well it can't have been that bad of luck. The second part of the story gets his nasty grin. "Oh. Come on now ass if that isn't a situation you would have enjoyed to no end." It is the exact kind of chaos he could imagine Circe thriving on if not out right caused by her own actions. "Ha. I can imagine you cheering the roosters on." Where as dinner walking itself right into his path would have been far from a bad day for the giant, even if the dinner was drugged up.

That for all it 's good intentions and warm meaning seems to discomfort the giant. "Bah. Well accident it was so best not get to used to it hey." To many people seemed to be expressing an enjoyment of his company of late, something might need to happen to change that.

"Literally or metaphorically off the walls?" Because with Sonja both were viable. "And yeah she does," she nods, "Think she'd follow a trail of sweets, but knowingly that there'd be a trap, just to eat the sweets and then fuck with the trap setter."

Contrary to her behavior, the Director of the Freehold wasn't an airheaded goof.

And it was possible they had cool stories to them. Of artists wandering the land to find that perfect, inspirational location. Perhaps some romantic reason or animalistic inspiration from some beast dragging them to just the right spot for the vista view paintings. Or it was a commission job made from fantasy of the mind. To know would require a lot of research. Circe was disinclined to do so.

She nods in agreement with Kray, "True, true," for she wanted the metal. Someone else might want it. Be it for scrap or some art project, the metal was a metallic resource for sure.

No worries. It was a random Amazon sale for a rug with chicken paintings on it LOL

Circe chuckles at the prospect. "It is much like watching a race car crash. Exciting thrill to enjoy at distance," she waves her hand off into nowhere. Then brings it up so her palm is right in front of her own nose, "Less pleasant excitement up close. Think they killed a few people. Because some asshole]stronzo didn't just dope up his roosters for the cock ring fight, no no no. He had to cheat MORE when he gave them metal spurs too." NOrmally she'd approve of stacking the deck pre-fight, yet not when it involved a PCP and meth enhanced chicken going for her eyeballs with a shiv.

After a moment to let that sink in, she giggles. Yes giggles, "But yes, it was neat watching the local police treat them like clay pigeons using shotguns later."

Circe wasn't going to mention her aid to them with all these mortal ears present.

A big hand comes up and hovers at a horizontal plan. "Uh. Not quite the walls literally but she got a lot more energized, focused, rushed off at high speed that kind of thing." On that point of recursion, the giant shrugs his mighty shoulders. "Hm. I don't know her well enough, but you've said you'd do something like that in the past." Although that might have been a rial of bullets or something the precise details of the conversation he has forgotten.

Moving through the estate something catches the giants eye and he points out, an ornate tea set. "Huh. Now I do like a good tea set, there was a name for the classic one, I just can't remember it." Which is a little frustrating. But the back when he had been human, before Arcadia Betty brown tea pots had been a main stay of even poverty stricken house households. "Ah. I still reckon you'll win it." Bad luck, other bidders all would still need to compete with Circe and he would put money on his friend to win a bidding war if it came to that.

The story developing into death by doped rooster gets him to turn sharply looking at Circe quite shocked, and to knock over a umbrella stand that had unfortunately been to close to the giant with clattering thud. "Ah. Dam it. I'll have to pay for that now." And he knew all to well the price gouging that was likely about to come his way. "Uh. But what are the odds you ended up on a beach with a bunch of armed roosters?" He says to the known arms dealer. "Huh. I can't help but wonder where the guy got rooster sized knives to equip to this birds." This really sounded like something Circe could well have had a hand in. If only for the fun of it. The fairest giggling did not do anything to assuage his forming views on the topic. Not that the ogre disapproves any, the panic and fear would have been a great time for him to.

More energetic Sonja Wu? That sounds terrifying. And hilarious to point at others. "Mental note. Red Bull pack and Pixie Sticks in bulk, plus target for Sonja. It'll be horrendous for target and entertaining to watch." Which was one way to look it at. She'd have some criminal record for doing so, maybe weapon of mass cute mayhem or something.

Tea? Circe was more into coffee and more robust materials. Camping coffee sets needed to withstand travel, fire, low maintenance, and the HEDGE for her to consider the coffee kettles. Though she might know the name, "Wasn't if Fine Chinette or something?"

Though she'd an alternative option for scrapping if she didn't get the radiator. "Doubts unnecessary for victory, though if it does I can just hit up a scrap yard. Literally, rip the parts out myself, oh ho ho ho." It was fun, even if she had to pay to be allowed to do so. Might be something to do if she ever got a LOT of Summers, just for fun.

Circe kneels down to check the umbrella stand. "Hmmm, looks pretty intact John," she stands it back up before rising herself, "I'd argue it is intact enough to not count." Then there was the matter of crazy luck. "Did you not hear how I described my luck? It is very odd when it goes against me. Or maybe it is just the tropics given a pre-luggage set with teeth tried to ate me once," that was another story that might be even more illegal than the chickens.

Knives? Ah, he go the wrong idea. "No, no, no John," she shakes her head and waves her hands in the negative. "I got the explanation from a local islander, so makes sense you don't know." Circe nods her head, "Roosters have bone spurs for fighting. Cock fighting is a Caribbean past time, sending them against each other. Arena sport and gambling, moral nay sayers, yadda yadda. Some genius figured out clipping the bone or adding metal spurs made their bird have an edge in the cock ring."

"Though why anybody would load up a flock with razors AND dope them all up?" Circe shrugs as she shakes her head, "Idiot is the only answer I have. Probably their first victim...Truly kind of awesome though seeing a machinegun get used to kill chickens. Maaaasive overkill, oh ho ho ho. Cool, but over board way of making chicken paste, oh ho ho ho."

And probably some PTSD from seeing the chickens kill folks too for the gunner. Then she gets distracted by a tapestry. "Why is the rug on the wall? Budget sound proofing?"

With a heavy shrug the giant has a simpler suggestion. "Uh. Or. Just tell her there is a food truck in whatever direction you want her to go." To be fair that might also work on the gluttonous ogre.

Waving a hefty hand the giant shakes his head. "Hm. No that wasn't it, nothing so fancy sounding. I grew up poor we didn't have anything like that." But my how his fortunes had turned since his return from Arcadia. "Ah. Dam it. Maybe I'll remember it." Of course one of the many downsides to that time away was the serious gaps in memory.

Now the hands on approach did sound more fun then having to squeeze and metaphorically tip toe through all of the rooms and objects of the pre-auction. "Huh. That doesn't sound like a bad way to spend an afternoon." His skills in demolition had been well showcased before now. "Ah. Only down side is I doubt they have the chance of stumbling across a interesting this or that as we do here." Certainly unlikely to find what he was in the market for.

Circe's examination was well meaning but while they might be active and engaged criminals there was all manner of low level crookedness that went on in the world. "Bah. You Watch they'll claim a scratch or a scuff or any kind of minor damage even if it didn't splinter, they are after all out to make profit on every item they can." And he had just guarantee an easy one. "Ah. Besides I did knock it down, it is only proper I pay the price." It was never a bad idea to rack up some well meaning luck, fate, karma or whatever they wanted to call it. "Hm. I'm not here to break things today." If it had been his purpose then this would be a very different series of events.

He was well enough versed in animal fighting crimes to know what rooster fights were. "Ah. Along with dog fights, badger baiting, bull fighting, fox hunts and that thing where they make a snake and mongoose fight. Yeah I know what you mean." Plenty of morally questionable ways to make money off animal suffering. "Uh. And since the start of people have been trying to get an edge on how to win." That was neither new or surprising. "Ah. Just some don't think it through very well. But then he must have put some thought into to get the metal parts for his birds is what I was trying to say." And it sounded more like a Gatling gun had been used to stem the tide of doped up fowl then machine gun if it left the mas nothing more then past.

Casting an unfocused gaze over towards the wall hanging. "Uh. Maybe, or its just you know some form or another of art." He was not medieval far from it but if was hanging fro ma wall it was probably classified as a form of art.

Circe wasn't going to bring up her own memories after hearing Kray's fiscal situation. Mafia princesses might not be ultra-rich, but still plenty of money compared to many others. It'd be rather rude and she knew better than that. Sometimes. "Good porcelain maybe? Just so long as it isn't fine lead plates. You can't eat tomatoes on those," she shakes her head.

"It is quite therapeutic in a percussive manner," she confirms to Kray. Destruction for fun, profit, and fully legal was rarity. She was pretty sure that Kray was right about the second part. "There is a ring of truth to that, they don't tend to have carpets or wood. They only have metal."

Kray's cynical outlook on the auctioneers wasn't something she could doubt. For she knew of those tricks that they used for sales and the, ahem, lesser criminals used as well. Kind of reminds her of the stereotype of lawyers. Though there was a contradiction, "Speak of deception and then honesty," Circe shakes her head. "Glad I'm mature enough to know that people are onions and not potatoes. Though if they seriously screw you over, I will do something about it."

Probably hack their accounts to be subtle. She isn't dumb enough to burn the place down over a few hundred dollars.

Circe is getting focused on one part of the conversation. She gesticulates with her hands as she talks. "I mean, I don't get the combination. The logistics to collect a horde of roosters, arm them with hooks, and drug them all indicates intelligence. But the doing it to a horde of them is suicidally stupid," the morality of the other activities doesn't even occur to her as a concern. "How do you think it through to that level of logistics, yet not think of the danger of a group of them? It sounds like something out of cazzo South Park," she holds up her left hand as she starts to count it off. "Step one, arm my murder birds. Step two, drug them. Step three," she holds up both hands in the air but says nothing. "Step six, profit. Dude ran a fowl of many missing steps in that genius plan. Certainly counted his roosters before they hatched. Hence he got scrambled."

"Ah," she nods slowly. Then shakes her head. "Art. I don't get this modern shit," she'd no idea of the reason for such styling. Circe could give props to a statue or painting done well, but the more esoteric the art was, the more it reminded her of Their kind of artwork. Screw all that out of habit.

Circe must not realize just how poor a poor family in the east end of London could get back and when. Although to be fair she didn't know when he was from and for that matter did she even know he grew up in London? "Ah. No I don't think we had any of that either." Think because memories of specific details were rather hazy. "Uh. Porcelain or lead." But he sounds unsure.

Ogres being shaped by the means of violence at the whims of the gentry he was all to familiar with inflicting destructive force, as he had demonstrate on occasions prior. "Uh. I actually meant the scrapping, sweaty but good work that, rewarding work." That it came with a helping of destructive out lets was a bonus, never hurt to keep in practice with his hammer.

As curious as the ogre was to see exactly what Circe would do to any potential grifter, the possibilities right now included the unleashing of assault chickens, in his head anyway, which would not be ideal. "Ah. I'm a big guy, I can handle it." Sometimes it was just better to take the lumps when they came your way. "Ah. Right I'll go get this sorted out you want to go bet on the radiator so we know if that arrangement is on or not?" Because that would be all and well but if they missed it then the deal would have been for naught.

He goes to step away but stops as Circe launch into her insights on the murder foul, and an idea goes off in his head. "Uh. Mary. Did anything else happen while the chickens were running around? You know a bank get knocked over or someone meet an untimely end?" Because actually that sounded like one hell of a distraction. Much like it is distracting him from going to sort out the maybe damaged umbrella stand.

Her skin turns a slate-blue and her hair bone white. The whites of her eyes are blood red, the irises are purple with cat-slit black pupils. "Lead. Folks thought tomatoes were poison because of lead plates or something," 4 AM documentary facts from odd work hours. To be fair, the Family usually had the good plates out for special occasions only. Steel plates were preferred. Good bludgeon or deflection tool or something she couldn't recall. Probably the former, violence and all that she had to get from somewhere. "Steel plates sound waaaaay safer if you ask me."

"Ah," she nods, "I was talking about the acoustic ring of metal striking metal," she clears up her own thoughts on the matter of scrapping. Given what she'd learned, it would be good to clarify from here on out. "I find it kind of soothing. Soldering and plasma torch too for that matter," though that could be a focus thing from her working on it. She'd not used the plasma cutter at a scrapyard yet. Too much risk of unknown combustibles.

Circe has to think on that for a moment. That would make more sense. What else had happened with the chicken murder run? She'd sold guns a few hours beforehand. Seaplane flight back got delayed, drunken pilot put down the landing gear in the water. Also drunk pilot. "Uh, nope not that I know of. No banks, no supervillain trades, no big smuggling syncing up. Uh, that I heard of in the news. Only deaths were by raging rooster. I mean, I wasn't exactly paying attention to the news, plus Italian and Spanish aren't the same. Didn't want to stay either. Not like I was a paid emergency deputy or something."

Technically she'd been a cop for a few hours and gotten to use an M16 out of it. Not bad, but she didn't keep anything nor get money. "Just the chicken run, blood, and then leaded chickens everywhere."

The finer details would require more research into the local newspapers and police reports. And given the mostly illegal nature of cock fighting, there'd be some gaps in knowing about the mastermind behind the murderous chicken flock.

She'd no way to argue with Kray's claim to being a big guy. No argument at all. "That would be the smart thing to do," she nods and then smirks. "But am I smart? Trick question, Imma go bet on the scrap iron," she winks at him. "Use that size to your advantage if they try to press you," she waves as she goes to do the betting on the radiator.

Well he had not known that. "Uh. I take it this was before you know ceramics and the like were popular?" The cheaper and cheerful earthenware plates might break a bit more easily but they were likewise quite replaceable. "Uh. Do they? If you say so." The giant doubtful a plate could be all that much of a dangerous item to start with. "Ah. But well you see we are not all in the army to have steel this and that in kitchen cupboards." To be fair he was unaware what most people actually had in those and just assumed his own very out of date preferences still applied generally.

Circe being into her metal work that did make sense. "Hm. I can see you enjoying that yeah. But it'd wear pretty thin on me within not to long a all I reckon." To the ogre that element sounded more headache inducing then anything else.

Then he is fresh out of ideas and great shoulders have a heavy shrug once again. "Ah. Then I am not sure, but it is the kind of thing I can see being used for one heck of a distraction." And gave plenty of ideas all of it's own. "Oh. I don't speak Spanish. ... Or Italian. Still." The ogres Mono linguistic skill was as always a bit of barrier to things happening in the world.

Once the umbrella stand is paid for, the giant just paid the prince not looking for argument and maybe sowing the seeds of different deals down the line he trundles through the space to find the summer queen again. "Uh. So how is it looking?" Curious if he had an drop off to make or not.

At 30 days so shall we look at wrapping this one?
