"Add a little something? Oh! Like, a scarf? Or a hat?" The Beast wasn't thinking of sewing. Did she even know how? Well, she had very nimble fingers, so how hard could it be to learn? "A thrift shopping day sounds fun-tastic!"

"Young lady, I like the way you think!" Young lady? Sonnie, you can't be much older than Mina, even if you are pushing thirty by now. Not that she looked it. Changelings aged slower than normal hoomans. The Steepscrambler still looked like she was nearly a decade younger.

No formal dance training here, just vibes, monkey-like agility and a complete lack of modesty.

The results were... well, not a failure. It was some sort of dancing.

[Mina]

“Oh! I love hats!” then a frown, “I just can’t find one that ever looks good one me.” Or that she thought looked good. “I like adding slits in skirts when there wasn’t one! Not like, a really high one, but a cute one, to add a little something eye catching. Or a cute patch.” In case you need quick access to an element. “Then we’re so doing it! But we need to get food too, cause I hear shopping makes you hungry.” So food was a necessity.

“Girl, we will own this town!” declaring it like she could make it happen. She can’t, but she could try and make Spring known a bit more. As a ballerina, she’d be lucky to get the theaters to know her. But the clubs? That was going to take some talent. “Or something like that.” Maybe.

And while she had feeling the music before, now she was, well, not? The Elemental knew she lost her rhythm and seemed to shrink a bit into herself, but tried to force a smile, mismatched looking around, looking to see who saw.

"I... don't really do hats. Not usually. Maybe a beanie on occasion," Sonnie shrugged. "But, you never know. Maybe I'll find one that speaks to me!" She nodded nodded nodded at Mina, "The right slit in the right place can make all the difference. And patches ARE cute!"

The Beast grinned, then, "I don't think there's much of anything that doesn't make me hungry."

"Girl, I already own like half of it!" she laughed. Not even remotely true, but it was fun to say.

“Then maybe it will be the great hat hunt of 2026!” laughing, “Sounds we are going to make quite a day out of shopping! There is going to have to many breaks for food to keep us fueled then.” It was simply a requirement now.

“Clearly, I need to get on owning the other half! I’m falling behind!” Spring should own the clubs of the city! Well, the Springs that charming enough to do it. “Once we get that sorted, we can discuss where we move to next. Thrift stores?! Places with excellent pizza and fries?!” where do they move to?!

Maybe it was Sonnie’s energy, her mischievous presence, but she seems to find her footing once again!

"I mean, if we're hunting for hats, I want to bag one of those caps with the beer holders and the straws that go down to your mouth!" Did Sonnie already own one? Or two? No comment. "Or maybe just a cool sombrero!" Cue the mariachi music! "Well, duh! There shall be food trucks and cafes all along the way!" No way this Beast was going to go without eating for more than a couple hours. Only time that happened was when she was fast asleep.

And even then... midnight snacks.

"A place with fries ON pizza, obviously." Was that a thing? Apparently.

The Elemental laughs, “Oh! One of those! Yah! You should totally get one!” she was supportive of this. “Question, with the sombrero, do you wear it out when going to grab a bite? Or is it just for around the house for like parties? Cause I’d totally wear that out for events and stuff.” Like Cinco de Mayo. “Just making sure, cause I get hungry out shopping.” It was a thing and food was important.

Pausing in her dancing, considering the fries on pizza, “Hmm, I’d be willing to give that a try.” Sure. “Now here is the big question, do you like gravy with your fries? If so, what kind of gravy?” these were the important, ground breaking questions right there.

Her moves weren’t as good as her Queens, but she was trying to keep up. The movement was there, and the rhythm was there.

For a few moments, the Steepscrambler paused in her passionate dancing to ponder the very serious implications of the sombrero question. She had no answers, however, so she resumed the dance! "Beats me! I just think they look cool!" Because they do!

"You simply must try it! It's a surprising flavor!" Sonnie nodded, having sampled the strange delights of fries on pizza. "Gravy? GRAVY? I'm not sure there's a kind of gravy in existence I haven't tried before! They're all great! But usually I'm just a ketchup kind of fry girl." Sometimes, the simple things in life were the best.

The Snowskin couldn’t help it, she had to laugh, “I can’t argue with that! But there has to be an event or reason to wear one out! You can’t have a cool looking hat and not wear it out!” like, come on.

“You don’t have to convince me, I’m always game for trying new things! Point me to the pizza and give me a slice!” would it taste good? She had her doubts, but she would try it. “Well yeah, ketchup is a staple of fries. But sometimes you just have to reach for some beef gravy to go with your fries. Something about the two just hits right after a night of drinking.” At least for her. “And maybe some scrambled eggs too.” Nodding, yeah, you needed those too. “Now those will def need ketchup.” Eggs and ketchup were made for each other.

And then, there was the Spring Queen in full Spring Queen gonna own the dance floor and then some mode! Showing all these people, and herself, how it was done.

The broken doll couldn’t help herself, slightly stepping back and just admiring the hell out of those dance moves, because who wouldn’t?!

“Damn!!” she whistles, “Miss Dancing with the Stars here!” no way Mina was topping or coming close to that! “Think I owe you a drink after those moves!”

"All this talk of food is making me hungry." Shocker. There wasn't much that didn't make her hungry. Sonnie, now that they were finished dancing, was thinking about her stomach. "Does this place have gravy fries?" She doubted it, but it never hurt to ask. Some nightclubs had menus, right? Right?!

The Elemental, however, offered to buy her a drink, so it would have to do! She grinned and gestured towards the bar before starting in that direction. "Thank you, thank you! I can bust a move when I feel like it. You were getting down with your bad self, too!" Yeah, her references were a little dated. The hazards of growing up in a different time period than her appearance would suggest. "I am intrigued by this talk of scrambled eggs, though. Does it include bacon?" Bacon made everything better. Even other bacon!

[Mina]

Laughing, “Same!” and also because drinking requires food. “Uh, I don’t know. But no reason we can’t ditch it and go on the hunt for some badass fries and gravy! We should ask first though.” Nodding. Asking first was the move. “But if we do leave to get fries, we have to have a couple more drinks I think, the bartender is amazing with his mixes.” True story right there.

“Damn right you can! Where were you hiding those moves?! The whole floor took notice!” a slight blush and shrug, “Eh, this isn’t really my type of dancing, but I tried!” and at least didn’t look like an idiot. Mismatched eyes widen, “Of course it includes bacon!” acting insulted, “Everything must include bacon! To not include it is a sin!” why wouldn’t it include bacon.

“So what is your drink of choice! Whatever you want!”
