With the warning shout Dirge sprang into action and jumped into water while unwilling to get stuck trying to navigate around others on the walkway. The haunt only hoped that this wasn't someone's idea of a joke as she plunged beneath the water.
The blast is like dropping a firework into a half filled coke can.
With nowhere but the tunnels' length to expand, the explosion rips through the sewers in a wave of fire and concussive force. The sewage is thrown all the way to the ceiling like a tidal wave; but still offers protection from the searing flames... for most. As the tide subsides and the explosion dissipates, the survivors find sewage baked onto the walls and ceiling, except in one spot where black ash outlines a man's silhouette.
All vampires take 4L. Wooding takes 3A, rendering him Torpid.
*Max pokes his head out from the foul sewage, and not for the first time is glad he no longer requires a sense of smell. He looks around at the strewn bodies and baked muck.* Anyone who isn't dead, sound off. I mean... completely dead...
Thomas' head bobs out of the sewage, glad that he'd finally done something smart and taken cover against the blast. It wasn't pretty cover and it would certainly mean one hell of a dry cleaning bill but the Mekhet was still aliv.... undead and the focus of the Blood Hunt was a pile of ash. "Thomas here" he says when he hears Deputy Max's voice asking who was still able to speak. Thomas turns his head around and attempts to assess the aftermath of the explosion, hoping that the others had survived as relatively intact as he had.
Dirge felt the explosion and her dead flesh suddenly reminded her of pain as it suffered injuries. It never ceased to amaze her how something that was completely dead could suffer pain, but regardless of how it was possible she found it bothersome. Gritting her teeth she reached for an edge to the canal to try and pull herself out of the water.
"Present," Dirge called out.
The force of the explosion had knocked him off his feet and into the side of the channel of sewage he had taken cover in, and furthermore pelted him with debris. The injuries would have been serious had he been a mortal man, but pain and injury were fleeting for Kindred.
Standing to his full height he winces in pain before calling out "Culler, here."
Feel free to RP out & wrap this thread up as you all see fit.
- Touching the ashes on the wall will reveal that it *is* Mac, with his last action and words
- Make sure you tally Wounds, Blood, and WP. Everyone regains 1 WP for a victory.
- Please let me know if any damage rolled over to Aggravated.
- Feel free to start new thread(s) and consider the disposition of Wooding.
*Max looks around for Wooding, finding his limp body face down in a pile of god only knows what, slightly charred but lacking in rapid decomposition. He can only assume that meant the other vampire was down for the count, but salvageable. He sighs softly as he pulls out is shorted-out phone, slipping it back into a pants pocket.*
Alright, someone help me with Wooding; let's get back to the surface and find a phone. I'll have my assistant bring some fresh clothes. And a lot of bleach...
Thomas got out of the ... stuff, he honestly did not want to think about what he had jumped in and moved over to where Deputy Max was beginning to deal with the body of Chris Wooding. The Mekhet noted that his clan mate did not seem to have suffered the final death, which meant that the eager young vampire would be okay. Eventually. Thomas bent down to help Max with their fellow Shadow. "Nasty surprise. Guess he really did not want to be taken in."
