Orphan stands and runs away from the figures, trying to get some distance from the swarming enemies. His hope was to eventually take a few seconds to get a clear picture of the situation. He was not going to abandon those still on the roof or inside the building unless there was clearly no other option, but staying here right now was suicide, and he couldn't help them - or anyone - if he was dead.
Orphan had to use his action to stand, so he can't Dodge or take time to tactically analyze the situation, and he is out of WP and thus can't add to his Defense this turn, so he is just going to use basic judgment - run away from the mass of the opponents, to the extent this is possible, and try to avoid any others as best he can.
