The Darkling didn't miss Vivian's confused look to David but she didn't ask anything. Maybe she was embaressed about not understanding or didn't want to give the question while Daniel was right there. He took the opportunity to bowl his turn.

Daniel's first attempt managed to miss all the pins again. It was a little discouraging seeing everyone else getting spares but Daniel had known he wasn't going to win when he'd started. So when he managed to take down a few points on his second go, he was happy.

Returning back to the group, he sat back down.

"That's a lot to know and then some. How long did it take you to get all that under your belt?" Maybe it was just that he dealt with Changelings a lot and his own personal experience, but David seemed pretty young to have learned all that, gone through an apprenticeship and set up his own practice. Of course the guy was pretty smart. He'd have to be to impress Ava.

"It does mean I'm not qualified. Didn't even pass anatomy in high school. But it does sound like a fun job." Wait. Fun? Maybe that wasn't the best word to use.

If Vivian hadn't thought the Gravewight was weird she probably did now. Daniel checked his watch conspicuously. "It's getting late. I should probably be going." A small glance was given to Ramona. A little courtesy. If Daniel was leaving now, it meant she could be more socially allowed to go home as well. Maybe in a hot car with someone else?

"So some book learning and an apprenticeship, don't knock yourself out of the running just yet," she encourages Daniel, listening to David's description of the on-boarding process. "More work these days should come with apprenticeships. I got a hell of a lot out of mine." She gives David a glance with a hint of camaraderie in it. Sure they work in different fields, but they both know what it's like to do scut work while learning at the feet of a master. David's description of repairs is interesting. "I suppose nobody wants to know about your job because nobody wants to break the illusion," she suggests to the mortician. "Right? If you go to the funeral of a loved one, you don't want to be thinking about that stuff. The eye-caps, or the wires holding their jaw together. All that stuff creates this illusion that's... maybe not more pleasant but less unpleasant than the reality." She shrugs, "If you know the details of the work that went into it, the illusion's not as effective. Like finding out how a magic trick works." Wow, that's an interesting thought. David practices a sort of funerary magic every day. And if he slips up, it could deal serious emotional damage. Heavy.

Vivian's invitation comes a little bit out of left field. She dampens her excitement with a reminder of all those indications that Vivian likes to tease. It's irritating that her brain wants to reexamine them all so fully, as it seeking a flaw in the conclusion she reached. Stop it, brain. Let's just relax and have fun. She gives the Daeva a small smile, "Finally making good on your offer?" She teases, "Yeah. That sounds like fun. Let's do it." Will Vivian be this fun to hang around with alone? Remains to be seen. Will Vivian take this a step further than teasing? Stop it, brain. No need to think about that contingency until it legitimately seems likely to occur. Just... ignore all those fantasies, and try to be real with the person. A little distracted, Ramona gets up to take her shot at taking the lead in this match. She winces a bit, coming so close to a strike she can take it, and her second ball is rolled with a bit of resentment. How dare that last pin stand up to her? There, down it goes. Like it should've the first time.

Still, she's easily back in good spirits when she turns and makes her way back to her seat. She retrieves her phone from her pocket, a battered off-brand "smart" phone on a prepaid plan, and glances at Vivian. "Exchange numbers?" She suggests.
