Her head tilts back and she laughs, rich and full-throated, as Green the mountain bellows and pumps his fist in the air. That's probably the most animated and loud she's ever seen him. It's good to know he has a fun side. She gives a half-hearted wave as Coco departs, not really focusing on her. Did she say she was going to score some ecstasy? That tells you something about her. But if you need drugs to cope with what the Others did to you, well... it's just best not to judge too quickly. When the Fairest is a few yards away, she glances in the direction of the departing Coco, then back up at Green. "I don't think she likes me," she mentions, with a little twist of her lips, a perhaps humorous little smirk, implying she doesn't care overmuch.

She grins as Hot White Leather hops up and exclaims about the prospect of the exchange of vehicles. "So it'll all come down to who's the better driver. Guess Mercedes-guy is pretty damn confident."

Asa nodded, and traded fobs.

A gesture to Morgan indicated she could join again before he began the laborious process of folding his large frame into the small car. The seats were lower than his kneecaps, kneecaps which brushed the edges of the footwell and steering wheel even with the seat fully adjusted. If anyone had ever wondered why he didn't own a sports car, they would only have to watch him get in and out of one to understand.

That, and sport cars don't have back seats.

Not owning didn't equate to not being familiar. What this car lacked in raw power, it would make up for in a lower suspension, and wider tires. He worked the transmission, feeling the length of the throw between gears as well as feathering the clutch and brakes as he positioned the car for the rematch.

When the signal came, he hit it. Gear shifts from the wrist only, the other large hand firmly gripping the wheel.

Morgan looked back and forth between the two cars. Which one was she supposed to ride in? Or was she not for this one? She cast a confused look up at Asa, "Um, heh-heh, Clark? Imma un-unsure on..." Then Clark gestured for her to follow as he climbed into the yellow car. She laughed and shrugged, "Queeeeeestion heh ans-ans-resolved, heh-heh." She skipped over to the sports car, temtped to try entering it Dukes of Hazard style but stopped. "Aaaaw, w-window closed, no Dukes entrance."

Unlike Asa, Morgan had little trouble getting into the car. It was a lot easier then crawling through the Screaming Jungle or siddling between crates whlst cutting through a stockyard. She cast a smile to Asa after she buckled up. She was tempted to help the man's luck as she waited for the speed to happen.

She didn't get the chance, the speed happened first. So Morgan was for whooping with joy when the yellow sports car flew.

[Malcolm Green]

Green grunted.

"Guess she don't like it when we don't play to her script, huh?" His eyes followed the departing woman before she was lost in the crowd. The scanned the immediate area before they dropped back onto Ramona. "You know the type... flighty... fairy... yeah...?"

A nod in the direction of the cars.

"Wonder if they'll do another race?"

"I cook..."

Crepes? No.

"Stuff? Just stuff. It's." What it is? Hard to explain. Eyes slid around. Who's watching? Listening? Come on, people. The guy's girlfriend got murdered. There's no Hallmark card.

A hand spiraled out slowly, something between turning a blini and miming eating.

"Here's, like, here's the thing. You watch, man. You cook what nourishes, right? You learn, from watching. You learn what nourishes her. Because, like, it's not about just food. It's everything. Her. You. You know?" The hand slowly rotated to point at his eyes.

"I think, like, people don't see. You have to see the other person. Not what you want to see. And when you see what, ummm. What sustains her, what she likes, doesn't like, that's, you know, when you're really looking. People think, Oh, I saw her wear a red shirt, I like red, so, like, she's like me. You know? But maybe she hated that shirt, and that was the only thing that was clean. Maybe she always hated red, but then you say you love red, so she says she loves red, and pretty soon..."

People Lie, yo. To themselves. To each other.

"Cooking starts, like, where, ummm. I guess where love does. When you're staring at the ingredients, and you just can't help but wonder what it would all be like together?"

Chuck enjoyed the feel of the larger more luxurious car. He familiarized himself with the controls and moved up to the starting line. Off the line he was pleased to find that the gentleman's vehicle had more power and speed than his own and enjoyed the feeling of speeding ever faster and faster, it even felt like he may be gaining on his own vehicle towards the end. However it seemed Mr Clark had already passed the finish line before he really found out how to make the vehicle move. He finished soon after the Corvette had passed the line and Chuck came in second once again. The Mercedes pulled in alongside his own car and Chuck stepped out with a smile on his face.

As his own car pulled up, Asa was still getting out.

Large hands gripped and pulled at seats, pillars, and doors to extricate himself from the cockpit, until finally he was out. Shoulders rolled, and his back arched. The undead don't get aches or cramps, but muscle memory and reflexes were all part of the intricate dance of The Masquerade.

"Next time, you can drive," he grinned at Morgan. He reached out to his newfound Herald, offering the Corvette's fob.

"Shall we settle up?"
