The University Voice was entirely true to its word. Several days after the announcement in the student-run newspaper, flyers began to appear around campus - and Sacramento at large, stating quite loudly that a first-come first-serve Halloween party would be taking place. It was located at one of the recently renovated warehouses, and was pegged to become a permanent club later in the year. But for now, as a promotional spin, the new owners of the development had allowed the Sacramento students to rent it out for the night.
This year, the Halloween party was aimed at the residents at large, as opposed to just the students. It meant that a greater variety of people were there - not that it mattered too much, considering the array of masked costumes that people were wearing. It was difficult to tell who anyone was.
It was even said that a couple of people from City Hall would be there, in Halloween disguise of course, to get the buzz on what residents of Sacramento were saying.
The doors opened at 6pm, and by 6:15pm a pretty decent selection of party-goers were already present inside.
