Sunshine Dances a happy dance, "Can I keep him?! Can I keep him Master?!"
Sunshine Dances a happy dance, "Can I keep him?! Can I keep him Master?!"
The Haunting Master of the Necropolis looks to his hidious enforcer, "Fine... keep him." Culler just shakes his head and turns to walk away.
If there is nothing else, just post your exit and I will start up a new scene with Roxie.
Still uncomfortable with the entire situation, Dr. Swift can't help but shudder slightly at the thought of leaving Jose here. It was a stupid thing to do, but he was working with us. He quickly glances around the area and mentally sighs, his thoughts running along the same unspoken lines of many of the others. There is nothing we can do to about the situation, however. We're in unfamiliar territory facing those who know the area intimately and we are likely outnumbered. The fact that we can't know for sure is another problem. I am so sorry Jose, but we simply can't do anything else for now.
With a sick feeling in his gut Swift turns to leave the necropolis by he same ladder they came down. He manages to avoid scowling in frustration and guilt until after he is no longer facing the Haunt Brigade.
Swift exits the necropolis and the scene, waiting for the others to accompany them to report to Roxie and whatever follows...
Jim nodded his thanks initially to Lord Culler for giving them the comic shop guy... and as the Deputy and the Master of the Necropolis spoke on, he realized the fate that Jose was going to face at the hands of this creepy Sunshine monster. His Beast surged within him, demanding that he act violently. Foolishly. In a way that would get them all killed. This couldn't be. It shouldn't be. No Gangrel should be left behind, especially to a fate like this. But there was nothing they could do. Checking the Beast, he forced himself to face the situation dispassionately, logically, and it helped.
As much as he railed against it, as much as he looked for someone to blame, to blame Dillon for being so callous about Jose's stupidity, to blame himself for not being fast enough to catch the young capoeirista before he had jumped... this was Jose's fault. He had brought this on himself. Worse yet, the tactical situation would not allow an extraction. They'd never get out alive. And while Jim had a feeling he could revive the torpid Gangrel, that would be a breach of the law.
Picking up the immobilized body of the comic shop guy with a neutral look on his face, Jim prepared to head out the way they had come. If anybody was willing to help with the body, he'd welcome it. If not... well, it wasn't like he was a weakling.
Jim exits the scene.
Emma scurried up the ladder and stepped to the side. She wanted to bring up the rear if possible, and find out if they were going to exit through the Comic shop or back through the cave. As far as Jose went, what a fucking waste of a perfectly good tenancy hard won through competition.
