Detective Campbell stares across the table at Vince for what feels like a long time. Then he takes the drive and sticks it in his computer. He takes the time to open the video file and watches the tape - his facial expression doesn't seem to change much, even during the film's horrible climax.
Afterward he closes the file, looks up at Vince and smiles reassuringly "You were right to bring this to us, son. I'm gonna go talk to my partner, see about your computer, getting you.. all taken care of."
He stands up, winks at Vince, and walks off - leaving Vince at the desk alone.
Vince grins, Pleased to be such good little citizen again. He looks around the Detective's small space as he waits, He was getting his computer back! Thank you silicon gods above!
Vince opens his phone wondering who can.. Charity oh... yeah no it some unknown.... Blacken Walsh! Vince knew it. He wonders how some stranger got his number and knew to call him. But whoever it was indeed seemed to want to help. Ask the questions latter.
Vince realizes he no longer was the 'data' Did the evil detective take it? Vince looks at the detective tower to see if the goon had forgotten it.
Vince grabs the piece of plastic, shoving it in his pocket. His instinct is to run,. but that would be silly and attract attention. Vince calmly(somewhat) walks out and down the hall.
He was now officially running away fromt he police. Grandma would be proud. Vince gulps trying to find the doors the Detective lead him through. He even asks directions.
Vince has no problem getting outside of the police station. The entire time he expects to hear the Detective's voice behind him, calling for his capture, but it doesn't happen. He finds himself out on the street, nobody is chasing him. Yet.
His phone rings, a call this time, unlisted number.
Vince answers and conrintues to move. As the conversation comes to a close he hangs up and dials a cab. Then hurries into a nearby cafe and waits for his ride to ferry him home.
