As he had done previously, the Reeve of Sacramento delivered a handwritten letter to Elysium's staff at the end of the month with explicit instructions to be delivered into the hands of the Prince or a servant she had specifically designated to receive private correspondence.

In Otto's handwriting, it reads as follows:

"Good evening,

Per the responsibilities of my office and to ensure that there is clear communication between us, I am writing to provide a brief summary of the events of the past month that are relevant to matters of Domain security.

I must also begin by begging your forgiveness for failing to provide a report for the month of April. While there was not significant headway in either of the pending investigations in our Domain, excuses are unbecoming. It was a failure on my part to keep up a consistent stream of information to your office. I can only hope that you are willing to overlook this failure. I will accept whatever reprimand or punishment you deem necessary, Your Grace.

As was indicated last time, there are two ongoing investigations of note. I will begin with regards to the one that has seen more progress. The member of my Clan that was kidnapped, Mr. Jake, has been freed. Through the efforts of myself, the Daeva Priscus, and the Mekhet known as 'Azoth', we were able to make a convincing excuse for his evacuation. I would be remiss if I did not make particular note of Azoth's assistance in this matter; he may have certain faults when it comes to the manners and etiquette expected of a member of our Domain, but I am convinced that our plan would not have succeeded without him.

I do not believe that the Hunters at issue suspect our true nature, or at least no more so than before we rescued my Clan-mate. There are still several curiosities, such as why the Hunters did not perform certain 'tests' regarding the nature of the Damned. I will be speaking to Mr. Jake in-depth to fill in whatever blanks I can and I will provide a summary of my interview to your office. While the greatest threat to the Masquerade has been handled, I would still advise caution to the rest of the Domain. I doubt that their nightly patrols will stop without further action.

Unfortunately, the investigation into the Final Death of one of our own has hit a dead-end. I will see if I can have Priscus Silvers collate her findings into a formal autopsy report of some kind, but otherwise, we have no new information. I will be interviewing members of the Domain in a more... informal capacity. I intend to make contact with any relevant parties without warning them beforehand. Kindred who may have known the deceased, who may have been in proximity to her place of death, and so forth. I will of course relate any findings to your office.

If there are any other matters which you feel require my attention, I will work to swiftly resolve them in a timely and quiet manner.
