Shadows of San Fran: Friendly Counsel

Skye doesn't seem to realalize she might have indicated her very own reason as to why this Athena could not be taken as a readily as Leo seemed to be as a source of discord. "We do all have our talents Skye, and even among the wise, there are those who talents are to kill. What they are trained to do. What they believe it is right to do." Even among the four of them gathered here how had not three of them expressed a willingness to end life, Thirteen had just finished saying how she would shoot someone in the face if given cause and reason. "And I do not doubt for a moment we have not yet seen the extend of any of the San Fran mages skills or training." One or two meetings, situations where aggression and the taking of life had not to his knowledge been the goal. No under estimation was a bad idea.

Aurora casting draws the eye of course, a nimbus flare always did. The smell of rot almost reminded him of the nimbus effects of a Moros, but he is rather biased in that regard. Skye looked the better for it and that was a sense of relief. But still he waits, for confirmation of any result.

Returning Thirteens nod with one of his. "As will I." Both call and respond. That was what he had signed up to in declaring his own sanctum.

Smiling weakly towards Thirteen.
”Appreciate that, I do have room for close quarters combat students should you like as well.” Not having seen any reactions to the open invite on that matter, not exactly surprised on that count though.

Eyes upon the Hierarch.
”Very true words indeed, and something good with that is when desperation strikes. Someone desperate you can use, someone desperate you can twist to do as you desire, someone desperate is an oh so good card. Unlikely as it may be so is it often good to leave possibilities open.” Knowing all to well she was alone in her thoughts, but there was a chance it could come to be and if they could use it she was not the one to close the door. ”We have a basic insight into them, to assume more would be to gamble with our lives.” And a folly to no end.

”It is certainly a well chosen one, the potential to weaken escape as well as spell casting is a damn good idea. I will be sure to share anything I should happen to learn if it does occur.” Seeing the green flare up, admitting she had neglected her Spirit side to extreme degrees but the thought that it could be undone without not having struck her as a long sigh of relief fills the room, turning to have her back free and starting to do a tirade of backflips and movements for a minute before returning back with a wide grin. ”Ahh that felt great, from the bottom of my odd little heart thank you, I owe you one.” Creaking her neck, now she just needed a shower to get this hideous color of herself before planning how to get ahold of the little muscular Lion.

A quick side eye to Thirteen, “Invaders suck.” And seems content to leave it at that.

Looking to Jinx then the Acanthus, “More tendrils?” damn. Just what the fuck had they gotten into? And what did that mage have at her beck and call? “You know, be awesome if you guys could have brought me the spirit, just saying. But I don’t expect any of you to be able to do that.” She might have been able to, maybe.

“I’m also available if help is needed. But I want it to be known that while I don’t kill anymore,” yes, she said anymore, “I’m not against it if it means protecting this Consilium.”

Listening, and nodding here and there, she was more fixed on waiting to hear from Skye and how she felt.

Seeing Skye appear back to her normal self, the blonde smiles, “My thinking was right, I simply cast a Life spell to purge you of any and all sickness and disease. The spirit didn’t sound to me like one that acted like one I have seen, but it acted sick, dragging itself, just didn’t sound like a well spirit. But I’m glad I was able to help you, you're more than welcome, anytime.” Who keeps a sickly Spirit? “But you should still take some time to rest and take it easy, not rush back into fighting this group. And I would highly suggest ephemeral armor, which protects from attacks from the Shadow Realm. You know what they are bringing, you need to protect yourselves now, next time, you might not be so lucky, be prepared.” She wasn’t joking. This Master was not joking, at all.

Thirteen continued to scribble on her notepad, with Jinx giving art criticism. "No, no, a little more bulbous." "I know!"

She glanced up and noted that Skye seemed to be cured. "Good. Glad that wasn't permanent."

Finally, she slapped down her sketch of the spirit onto a table. It was a decent enough attempt. The tumor-like main body, the slithering tendrils. It was gross, for certain. There was what appeared to be a housecat off to the side. "For size comparison," she added. The main body of the creature was about the same size as the cat, so it wasn't a huge thing.

"My guess would be a sickness spirit would be good for subduin' intruders. Weaken them, grapple them, keep them helpless until the Goldies can deal with them." The Libertine shrugged.

Skye's words being the Moros no comfort. "I find desperate people harder to predict, less stable, less rational." A shake of his head. "If they already trust you or are on your side maybe, maybe you can manipulate them to your ends but I would not not try to reason with a person who was desperate and trying to kill me." Who knows what lengths such desperation could push such a person to, and when said person was a mage, with the ability to change reality itself, well even more reason not to take that kind of risk.

But it did indeed look as if Skye had been restored the volley of acrobatics had to be a good sign. "Well It is good that is taken care of." Aurora explains her reasoning to and it was sound, impressive deductions and swiftly analysis for a solution. "Even without the grabbing, having a spirit guardian or ally that can weaken a mage in such a way that contagion becomes more bothersome is still sufficiently scary." Skye had mentioned that as well , and it was quite the defensive measure for the Sn Fran mages to be holding.

Talk of intruders and killing he leaves, they all know their obligation, they all have lines they will or wont cross, well so they say now in a life or death situation those would undoubtedly be tested.

Thirteen if you happy with your sketch to be a quick approximation of the thing just to give Aurora an idea then perfect, if you want it be more detailed a craft+Int check for 10 minutes work to convey things like proportion, scale, higher accuracy.

With Skye's health restored, information shared, plans postulated and motives speculated on the mages have witnessed a significant shift in the dynamic and development of their strife with the golden consilium cabal. And the moves that follow could well be the definitive defining moments to see who takes the position of power in the dispute. But beyond and that and even more concerning, the seers have made their presence known in a loud way and they mustn't be hurting for assessets either if they can so willing so easily sacrifice one of their own.

With all of this and more on their minds the mages depart to make their plans, to prepare and ultimately to try and survive whatever is coming their way.
