After locking up the shop for the night a short walk of a few streets had taken the man in the fine grey overcoat to a bench just across from the Sacramento valley station and a little ways up from the bus stop, on which he sits with a soft sigh, allowing the business of the area to flow around him a little while engaging in a few moments of precious stillness. He had no great or grand plan beyond waiting for the bus. To that end a short stem bleached white smoking pipe is removed fro ma inner pocket and placed between his teeth, not lit of of course, in fact he bowl faces downwards to show it was empty. And a book comparing the accountants of Plato and Xenophon comes out of a pocket, a brief summary, and he moves to the page his marker indicated reading by the light of nearby street lamp.

Tired, tired, tired there was no better way to describe her current mood not physically tired no that was near impossible for her and well her entire family for that matter but rather mentally tired. One unknown male Kindred, a woman attacking one of them, one of them kidnapped and one having met final death. Kim sarveshu vichitranarakeshu asmin narakanagare prachalati? Having forced her to change her routines, change her feeding habits, and so many people that had been so close to having to undress with the memories still fresh and revolting in mind as she plops down on the opposite side of the bench.

Taking out her Kobo/E-reader with a book quickly opening just eyeing down into it mind half present on the book half just needing the air out here to clear her mind having half missed the man sitting on the opposite side, he was there, he had no beast, she was not in need of sustenance, that was about all she could take in right now.

Vaguely aware of someone sitting nearby as he was keeping one ear open for the arrival of the bus, but his eyes on his book. "The bus is ten minutes out give or take, if it is not running late that is." A small gesture of kindness, granted one that was built on the assumption that the person whoever they might be was like him taking the moments of waiting for some both restful.

Looking up from her device to just stare blankly forward for a second, not really having expected a comment like that. Licking her lips with a look up towards the skies above before letting her sweet harmonious voice fill the air between them.
"Public transport on time? You are right there are no storm clouds in the skies this evening so who knows perhaps that bolt from a clear sky might be striking down this evening." Turning her head towards him with a scanning look down towards the book, now that was quite the unexpected sight. Reading literary works in public alone feeling odd but a proper book now that was a sight to behold. "Not often you see people carrying physical books nowadays, would you mind indulging me in what you are reading?" Turning the sleep cover over the screen of her own device with rapid hands placed to conceal the stickers donned atop of it, not exactly something to private but also not a topic she wanted to open up right away.

As the voice hits his ears he actually looks up, and wonders not for the first time why and how he seems to so often find himself in the presence of breathtaking beautiful women. "Well I don't find to be all that bad, particularly of an evening and here in the heart of the city. You'd otherwise due to traffic and all but no its rather regular." All to rather common for cities to invest in themselves and that dawdle off as you move further from the epicenter.

A quick flip of the cover as she makes mention of his book. "You must ride the bus to much, it more common then you think." Be that from poverty, less risk if it was lost, damaged or stolen, or just a good way to avoid having to engage with others. "It's very brief comparison of Socrates to most proclaimed students, you don't usually see them side by side so it's a fresh perspective on their rather differing views of a man who history can't agree even existed." The man so often hailed as the father of western philosophy, and he might well have been a pen name.

Locking her sights on the skies, quite enjoying the relativistic tranquility of the star filled ocean above them, and the chance to just breath for a moment so to speak.
"Is it? Seems their regularity is better than back in my...than I have heard then." Having caught herself, realizing public transport had been to rare to really speak of it with any level of confidence. "An unfortunate side effect of our modern world, where once we could accept a days long travel or even weeks so do we now feel stressed or annoyed at a delay of mere minutes."

Reading the cover of the book with a shake of the head.
"No, public transport is not really my thing but if books still hold the sway of man in such a manner that is fortuitous." Better than a slave to their devices, not that she was free from it but at least she aimed it into productive matters. "Can they not? I believed Socrates was set in stone, was he not even mocked by Aristophanes within his play through satire?" Not like philosophers were her strength though. "We have a few minutes, it is not my field of expertise leaving my ability to add much perhaps rather slim." Unlike last time they met she had no time to prepare the topic in advance. "Knowing that, would you care to indulge a curious soul?" Angling her hand upon the E-reader, lightly touching against her wedding ring in a silent manner to draw attention to the fact she was indeed married hopefully making sure should such thoughts exist within the man they would quickly fall aside. Preferring rejection of the talks rather than dealing with such things when not in need of feeding.
