Call from the Park

[Helen Kingsley]

Seeing Benny's number on the display, Helen takes the call, looking at the clock at the wall with the usual frown.

"Yah ?"

A sigh of relief briefly sounded from the Shadow's throat as a familiar voice picked up.

"Hey, I'd like to report an assault in Cedar Park?" she said, doing her best to make sure it sounded like she was talking with the police, "A guy went crazy and attacked a couple parked there. He was going on about something called a hunt? Two good Samaritans told us to get out of there and sounded like they all started to fight. I have the woman the guy was attacking, but it seemed like there were to other victims? I don't know if they're alive... They weren't moving"

There was a good amount of panic in Benny's voice. The Traditions existed for a reason and this Kindred, be he an unknown resident or a full blown poacher, had put them all at risk.

"I'm sorry... I just don't know what to do," she said.

Cedar Park, hm ? Sounds familiar. Could it be ? Thinking about it, that call didn't start off too well, as Helen doesn't know if the woman with Benny could hear what was said on the other end.

"Okay, please remain calm, Ma'am, you're out of immediate danger. We'll dispatch someone to check on the fight and the other persons. Can you describe the man who assaulted the other persons ? What he looked like, what he was wearing, anything noteworthy that stuck with you ?"

"I think he was about mid-teens? With a lithe build. He was wearing a jean jacket."

No physical description or ethnicity was given for the attacking Kindred in Chapter Two beyond his age, build, and the fact he was attractive. Likewise, Benny did not notice the sigil on his jacket or the designer shirt per the ST. Benny will afford as best a description as she can in regards to the information that was left out. "Alright. Make sure you get to safety and make a factual list of things you noticed or can recall, both of you." THere is a light shift of emphasis on 'factual', maybe not carrying too far away from the phone, but at least Benny will notice, or so Helen speculates. "As soon as thats done, neatly, use your companions condition to decide on a suitable course of action, either go report the happening in, if she's too confused or scared, see if you can calm her down. Call again, if needed."

Benny notes the word 'factual.' It doesn't take a genius of a Kindred to understand what the Reeve is asking. Helen wanted to know with certainty whether or not the woman was a potential Breach that needed to be dealt with. Benny wanted to know that too... she'd rather not have to drain the mortal.

"Okay, we'll start making our way to the station," she said, her voice shaky from the experience. Though Helen can't see it there is a slight nod followed by a simple affirmation, "I will."

With that, Benny hangs back and looks to the victim again. It was time to see if the woman was a threat.
