"I ain't poking no ghost," she laughed and shook her head at Mary, "I'm not that kinky."

Chambers' joke must have gone over her head. She didn't like that, as usually she was pretty on the ball about humor. However, she shrugged and let it go. This was a night for ghost tours!

"Yes! Let's have some jump scares!" That was fun! So long as the scares were pretend, of course. Sonnie didn't want to have to beat anybody up tonight. "To the engine room!"

[Circe]

"What Mason? Ya didn't like Ramis' giving us a dancing gopher on the golf course?" She tilts her head in actual confusion. She may have mixed up Sam Ramey with Harold Ramis.


She smirks at Marcus, "You'll need both hands and a backup I assure you," she winks at him.


Then Sonja answers the question. The monkey need not be managed, despite what some might say after she has consumed energy drinks. But she could be fun. "Why not?! Who are we going to jump scare? If a ghost, we will need molasses and flour in bulk."


Then notes something that Marcus had done. "Sonnie!" She points at Marcus, "I call dibs on the left arm. You can get the right, oh ho ho ho!"

If Sonja doesn't cooperate however, Circe will just shrug and follow. Because as attention lacking toddlers will confirm, fun needed no logic.

[Chambers]

The nod is returned to Corn. The silent confirmation with the gentle smile to say nothing amiss here. At least that what he thinks the fellow mystagogue is trying to communicate. ''Looks like this one is a bust. Oh well.'' Not unexpected.

It gets chuckle recall the not to blurred parts of the first time he met Mary ... and every time since from drinking in the dive, to the bus breaking down and most recently the sea shanty duet at the coffee house. ''No not a handful Marcus.'' The smirk creeps through the jest. He'll find out. Quicker then the moros realised as Mary encourages her friend, Sonnie to and abet in... well he's not quite sure ... strong arm? kidnap?

Speaking of the exotic beauty he gets contemplative trying to remember which movie has a dancing gopher and how it could tie in to ghostbusters. ''Sorry Mary not following but it sounds like a laugh.'' That Mary out witted him was not an uncommon outcome. She definitely knows more pop culture then I do.

A look to Helen. ''Hey you alright?'' She had gone rather quiet. ''I think our ten minutes are nearly up, and then we'll be onto the next place.'' Maybe she doesn't like boats?


And in deed on the whistle stop tour the next location beckoned.

California Rail road Museum --- OLD RAILROAD TUNNEL ENTRANCE (Going underground)

Rediscovered through modern excavations, the underground city that had almost been forgotten remains a graveyard of bodies from Sacramento’s unnerving past. Aside from being a major site of crime and murder, gambling, prostitution, and homelessness also gazed beneath the streets. Given the tunnels’ traumatic past, it’s no surprise this destination is among the most haunted. Witnesses have heard laughing, crying, and seen mysterious figures roaming the tunnels.

[Corn]

Corn smiles when the women show Eidolon that indeed, they can be a handful. "I think we know the answer to the handful dilema, Marcus."
@Helen gets a look from Corn too. It's not like her to be silent.

Now, the old railroad tunnel and "underground city" were far more interesting to Corn than the Sleepers could realize. His senses don't pinge, but such things do leave a lasting impression and occasionally draw ... things.
"Mason, do you think that what the brochure describes - the extend of crimes and all - has happened? I have researched the place a bit before coming here.
Because of the frequent flooding, in the later part of the 19th century, there was a massive engineering undertaking to effectively raise the city by one floor. Thus, the original ground floor of various buildings were abandoned and forgotten. Or so people thought. These abandoned ground levels, with their patchwork nature and varying connectivity, were used for a lot of illicit activity as the guide mentions.
It should be noted that not all of the underground areas are open to the public and it is likely some isolated spots remain hidden beneath the streets of Sacramento or its buildings."
Then he says with a smirk "Do you think we may discover any secret hideout of debauchery and crime?"

[Circe]

"Well, I suggest ya Caddy off to the movie Shack. It is quite the Chevy Chase of comedy," she doesn't pass up the chance to educate and pun on Mason. Marcus got to suffer with whatever antics Sonja inflicted upon him, with full support from Circe. Of course the tour was a tour. So Marcus' torment was limited. Well, they'd just have to make up for it later.


That had been a fun distraction, playing helper to the monkey messing with a mortal.


And thus they had to move on to the railroad museum tunnel thing. The tracks had given her ideas and emphasized the need to seal up Under Funderland properly. It was a little close. Hopefully Sonja wouldn't spill any beans on it.


Her ears twitched as Jacob brought up the exact thing the Lost were doing with Mason. Oh that was problematic. "I know about this Jake," she informs him, "Ya ever seen the documentaries about underground Paris?" She smirks at him, "Turns out that being in a geologically stable area with a stable water table makes it quite prolific in the tunnels. Around here?" She waves her hand at the tunnels, "Ya not so lucky. Buuut I can think of a shitty way for developers to use the tunnels to be a criminal for a spat," she smirks widely, "By filling the tunnel with scat."


It'd save on the digging of a septic tank or linking up to a sewer line.

[Helen Kingsley]

Helen doesn't follow the interactions around her too closely. Too much shit slowly bubbling up. Stuff she's sunk a lot of effort into not thinking too hard about the last few years. Good thing, she knows it's happening, how the thing works, also why.

Bad thing, feelings aren't rational enough to care about stuff like that. Quite the opposite, really. She follows the group and other than that is mostly busy slowly breathing away the anxiety.

"Yeah, yeah, just thought I've seen something, got distracted, is all." Yeaaahhhh, so much for being way convincing ! You go, girl ! "But yes, might get interesting still."

In any case, she visibly eases up once off the boat and in the tunnels, even if she's still a little too tense for her own liking.

"Chevy Chase of Comedy ?" She interjects at Mary. "Get the Benny Hill outta here !" Remembering that Jacob had asked her a bit earlier, she poonders for a little while looking over the more or less scarcely lit tunnels. Better. Not completely, but still... different enough to do the trick.

"Eh, works been a bitch. Weather and people being what they are, workload's only ever going up. Apart from that, can't complain. It's a busy city after all."

[Eidolon]

Eidolon turns to properly introduce himself to Helen, "The name is Marcus. Didn't mean to be rude back there, but you seemed a little lost in thought." He did not want to let her know that when he first saw her, he swore he saw something out of the corner of his eye that gave him the heebie jeebies.

He continues to follow the group through the tunnels curious as to what sort of energy could be down here. He was wanting to activate a spell but thought better of it, especially with the other two mages around.

[Sonnie Wu]

The railroad museum was interesting. Trains were weirdly romantic. Or was that nostalgic? Maybe both? Sonnie liked trains, in any case. She'd ridden on a few, and it was fun.

Graveyards of bodies, however, were not fun. They were gross and sad.

"They're making a sequel to Spaceballs," she interjected into the movie discussion, "They better bring back Rick Moranis or there's just no point."

[Chambers]

Corns history lesson while an interesting addition to the guides knowledge seems perhaps a little more based on wistful thinking then probable chance. ''Unfortunately Jacob, while they may not be available to the public that does imply awareness of them, how else would they keep the public out.'' As for the isolated spots. ''And given tours go through here every week I doubt any self respecting criminal would be using somewhere that could be stumbled upon for a HQ.'' Of course what he know, not being a criminal and all.

Responding to Helen. ''Did you now, and neglected to share with the rest of use?'' He thought he had seen something to, and whatever light and shadow effects guy they had working in these tunnels was worth every penny. Still nothing a miss beyond some Hollywood smoke and mirrors nonsense.

Chevy chase .. Chevy chase ... got it. ''I would Mary, but can I really take advise from someone whose three amigos act is down an amigo?'' Her and Sonnie did only make two after all. Less pop culture does not mean none, still why do I feel like I'm setting up for failure?

He and Marcus seemed to be switching places between bearing the brunt of Mary's energy as the warlock seems to have shifted his focus away. To much for him indeed it would appear.

To Sonnie. ''He must be getting on a bit by now, do you think he could still do the job?'' Sometimes what people think they want turns out to be not the case, especially when time has passed.

Looking around the place. ''Now if anywhere was going to have ghosts, anyone reckon its the train cars themselves?'' If so they are staying in twilight.

[Corn]
