Good, but surprising to hear. It breeds confusion when actions are taken or announcements are made outside of the usual channels and structure that has been created in our organization. Last I knew, the code of conduct forbade direct contact to you on official business and last I knew, only executive leadership made such announcements so there would be no question on the message's legitimacy to the rest of the company. If you feel any updates need to be made to the code, then let's meet to make that happen so everyone can be on the same page.
