Alice smiles and is happy to take a seat. She crosses her legs and leans backwards. 'And, Miss Scherbotsky, how is it to manage a club?' She asks with sincere interest. 'I can imagine it is hectic, altough with a lot of fun? You see, I have a lot of plans for the future, so I should really decide what's best to spend my time on.' Just one soft laugh follows.
Alice brushes her hair with her hands while she keeps her eyes on Katrina, waiting for a reply.

Asa hadn't known Cassandra had officially 'left', but wouldn't have been surprised. He was surprised that if she'd left, she'd returned. In many ways, she was like Aimee Noel, but more... deliberate.
Still, challenging authority isn't always an unrecoverable mistake.
For his own reasons, perhaps Asa was more tolerant than most in that regard.

"No, Miss Lawrence," Sidor said, his voice patient as he let her preaching wash over him. "I do not underestimate the nature of the Beast. But if you would rather fight it out with tooth and claw and nail, then there is no point attending Courts like this. We play politics to ensure we do not become screaming, bloodthirsty lunatics." He smiled ruefully.
"And please - do not speak to me of the nature of revolution as if I have not experienced it. Do you know that in Siberia, there are frozen fields where if you clawed back the topsoil with your nails, you would find only bone? And that is the revolutions of the Kine. We, who are so much more monsterous would be so much more brutal." His eyes looked distant. The Haunt seemed to be haunted.
"But you are American born, and do not know what it is not to have the privilege of the West. Forgive me, but politics rule all that you do. If you do not believe it to be so, how do you think the Traditions came about? Or why we persecute those who break them?"

Brenn stares at Sidor. She didn't dislike the Haunt exactly but he was frustrating her; probably as much as she was frustrating him.

*If Max had known the Keeper and Prince had been talking about him, the thin Mekhet might have thrown "Speak of the Devil and he shall appear..." into the conversation. Instead, he simply waits a respectable distance away from the two conversationalist; hands behind his back as he rocks gently on his heels.
He looks around the Court, as best the limited view from the stairs will allow, trying to make mental notes of who was present tonight. He'd dressed down a little, Max wearing a simple outfit of jeans and black t-shirt tucked in.*
Me and my journalistic curiosity, Ariana thought. She did not want to get into this discussion in Court at all, even if they were in a private conference room.
Gently putting her hands up in the air at a slightly surrendered gesture, Ariana calmly spoke. "I apologize Mister Greyson. I did not mean to offend you." She looked at him and continued. "It was only an observation I had made from the past few weeks while I have lived at your haven. I have made every effort to stay out of your way and to be there as little as possible." Even if it meant she worked all night at her desk at the Bee. "I know you are a private person, I have always respected that. I was only making a comparison." Her voice was still calm, but internally she was apprehensive about speaking her mind to Conner.

Sarah felt her beast scream and attempt to make her flee the scene as she was met by the Kindred. She concentrates on the man, attempting to ignore it's pull by focusing on the situation at hand. It was Elysium after all and what had she been expecting if not other Kindred. Other Kindred with their own Beasts. She had prepared herself mentally and thus the struggle with the Beast is played out internally and Anton is greeted with a polite and friendly smile.
"Buenos Noches Senor. I am Sarah LaFleur." A slight bit of an accent, however it is not the haggard greeting of someone with only Freshman Spanish to their name. "I am not new to this Domain, however I am new to it's current administration. Would this be the location where I am to make myself known?"

*Max waits for the motion from the Prince, making his way over with a steady pace. The slight smile he was wearing drops back to his usual neutral expression, the Mekhet taking a second to make sure he isn't crossing anyone coming down the stairs.. He bows deeply to Clarke once he's close enough to converse in relative privacy.*
Good evening Your Majesty. *A nod of the head to Martha follows the greating to the Prince.* Good evening Keeper. *Max keeps the conversation short, allowing the two higher ranking Kindred to direct the conversation as they saw fit.*
