"To be honestly truthful I don't think anyone at the meeting was level headed. First I was rude, then Anton was rude, then...Well, it just went down hill from there. The atmosphere of the meeting overall was strained and no one was able to restore a more sympathetic air. Perhaps the aesthetics actually had some effect on everyone?" Brenn queried with a small shrug.

"Mm, possibly. I can't say I thought it was particularly unpleasant, but I recently spent rather a long time in a shipping crate, being transported here from my home city. After that, any decor that isn't a sealed pine box looks quite appealing, I assure you." Sidor smiled. It was thin, and the shadows on his face snatched at the corner of his mouth, making it look distorted and vicious. "Passion will be the, aha, death of us, I fear. But I suspect once the issue is no longer personal, cooler heads will prevail. They often do."

"Undirected passion is dangerous, I agree," Brenn replied, arms lowering back to her sides. "I don't know what the future will hold but at the next meeting I'll try to give more energy towards an empirical mind instead of a fiery one. Oh, and speaking of passion, what in the word is this feud with the Gangrel over? Who did what to who? I've met the Priscus of their clan and, while I can't say she was anything but forward and braw, she seems like a kindred I would like to get to know better."

"Feud? I would not call it an overt feud, exactly. It is not uncommon for Clans to consider that politics which shame or glorify their Clan should be kept within. And as Nosferatu, we are used to being ignored as the lowest of the low- beneath even the Savages for our disfigurement," Sidor said in a quiet tone, ensuring that he was not overheard.

"As for recently - there was some unpleasantness in a recent Court duel for a Regency; one in which both Dirge and his Grace Anton Flores competed. Some members of Clan Gangrel recklessly used the Protean Discipline to compete with their claws. A duel to the torpor is one thing, but a duel to Final Death is considerably more serious." He paused a moment, not for breath, but to shake his head. His expression had vanished into the shadows, as if he had a light directly behind his head.

"In truth, the lack of wish to involve the Gangrel alone is simple. It is a mark of shame to our Clan. Dirge knew of this for two years beforehand and chose not to take action. She shamed our Clan. To take the issue to another Clan is a shameful thing- better the City all, if we cannot bear the weight ourselves."

"Hmm. Well, hopefully it's not actually a feud. Or a grudge," she asserted before pausing for a moment. "Heck, I suppose it is a very good thing that I am not whip because I wouldn't care about clans at all. I like to judge on a more personal basis. But, I am glad that Deputy Flores is going to bring the homeless problem to the city and help organize efforts. Hopefully I'll be contacted so that I can help the organized effort but until then I'll have to just do the best I can aiding the domain in this. Would you be willing to work with Gangrel in this matter?"

"Kindred do tend to take an attempt on their Requiem- be it through foolish recklessness or plotted assassination- quite personally. Not that I can blame them in that. The act of murder, if you can call it murder when the recipient is already deceased, tends to be rather personal," Sidor allowed, his measured tone sounding grimly amused. It sobered quickly.

"I will work with anyone who will help this issue come to a close, Miss Lawrence. I imagine that will be the forces of the City proper, and yes, some of them are Savages, and some are Lords, and some are Shadows, and some are Succubi, and all of them, in their own way, are corpses as disfigured as that which you or I wear on our faces. We are all equally Damned."

Alice nods to the Keeper's greeting. 'Keeper Villiers.' She smiles but makes no intend to begin a conversaton. Instead she moves her legs very slowly, looking around, it was almost like a dance. Her eyes gazed at all Kindred. Then after a moment, she has chosen.

In a normal pace now she walks to Katrina Scherbotsky. She makes a little curtsy. 'Miss Scherbotsky, mind if I take a seat?' And she looks to a sofa next to her.
"If you're not having fun, what's the point of living forever?''

Martha smiles, nods in respectful greeting to Alice. "Good evening!" she replies cheerily to Alice and notes that Alice heads to join Jillian and smiles again.

If Martha is disappointed that Alice headed to Jill without lingering to talk, it doesn't show.

Deciding she may as well make some use of the idle time, Martha hobbles closer to stand closer to The Stairs. Trying to keep an eye out across the Court to make sure she doesn't miss anything.

Asa descended into Court, dressed neatly in a dark suit and tie. A white handkerchief billowed from his breast pocket and cloth rose was pinned to his lapel, as if perhaps he'd been to a wedding or some other event.

    "Keeper Villiers,"
he said, nodding with a smile to Martha.

He paused, looking around at those present, but not focusing on anyone in particular.

    "Good book?"

Tiny Martha looks a bit sheepish, she was just reaching into her satchel to get the book out, not wishing to waste time in idleness. A hasty, unsteady, but respectful curtsey is offered to The Prince, her twin tails bob as she nods in eager and wide eyed reply, "Good evening, Your Majesty. Yes, Your Majesty...it is, thank you." Clutching the books, she has no idea what to do with it, so gently offers Prof Maier's book to the Prince for his inspection...with another, much less hasty and equally respectful curtsey.
