Joseph shakes Eric's hand. "I'm Joseph Hartman, welcome to Sacramento." He waits to see how the newcomer responds, wondering what Hasting's schooling had been like.

"I win." Jill says in response to Natasha's saying she is a Succubus.
"Okay since neither of you are Savages, Jillian or Jill is fine." Jill says keeping to her opinion that the title is for Family. "So what brought you two lovelys to Sactown?" Jill asked
It was the second time Alice saw Victoria this night, yet she made another curtsy. 'Lady Seneschal Victoria Stamford, do have time to see me? I wish to discuss some things relating to your role as Regent of the Domain of Rosemont-Mather.' Alice gave away a confident smile, though in her eyes a less confident sparkle came to the surface. Getting rights in a domain were always exciting topics.

After Ariana had listened to the two Mehket’s speak, she only thought for a moment, long enough to properly convey her thoughts. Her tone was confident and eloquent. “To answer both of your questions, I have given this quite a bit of thought.” She paused for a moment, looking to both of the gentlemen. “I am willing to assist each other in achieving our goals. The question of goals is also a valid inquiry. We are here because we would like to strengthen our own alignment to the First Estate. Motivation, determination and knowledge are three key ingredients that we bring to the coterie. All three of us have a portion of these qualities, but together we solidify the nature of our initiative.”
Ariana’s prior reflections from the Invictus meeting would now prove useful and she continued in a temperate tone. “We will look at each of our strengths first. Both of you gentlemen are Soldiers because of your mastery in combat and knowledge of weaponry. However, there is more.” She gestured to Thomas, “Mr. O’Connor has occult knowledge and allies in the media.” She paused and gestured to Conner. “Mr. Greyson has the skill of investigation and mastery of stealth.” Her hands returned to their folded position on the table. “I possess persuasive speaking and the technological side of investigation. If our goals are to motivate the unaligned, protect matters of the First Estate, and further our mastery of our strengths, then the three of us will be successful. It may have been the Alder Prince’s suggestion, but we all have a desire to further ourselves in the First Estate if I am not mistaken."
With a short pause as Ariana placed both of her hands flat on the table as if laying all the cards down. The coterie ring on her hand gently tapped on the table perhaps as an unconscious reminder to the start of their commitment that Conner had instilled. “If all I have stated holds true, I am willing to make a commitment of loyalty to our coterie.” With her last words spoken, she waited for her coterie mates to speak.
Mick quickly thanked Regent Stamford and then departed, leaving the two females to their discussion. Assessing the place, he came to the conclusion that acknowledgement would be enough socializing for now, and so started heading for the exit. For as much as he disliked the concept, he was thirsty.
As Mick wandered by the exit, Martha gave him a happy wave and smile...her nod, it seemed, hoped to convey sincere good wishes.
"It's not a bad thing," Asa replied, smiling.
"Have you recovered from Court yet?" he asked, changing the subject.
Thomas continues to lean back in his chair as he listens to their replies and begins to consider his own. His right thumb touches the simple silver ring on his right hand and while he leans his head to his left, resting his chin against his left fist.
"Madam Donovan is correct working together for the benefit of each other will make the First Estate's position in the city even stronger. I believe that each of our own individual goals are far enough apart that we will not be stepping on each others toes too much in pursuit of them." He straightens up in the chair.
"I am willing to commit to assisting each of you, if you are willing to make the same commitment. We will need to be able to trust each other, to be completely certain that our backs our covered in order to keep our attention on what we wish to accomplish."
Won? What was even the competition, Brenn wondered she ignored it and focused on something much cooler.
"Oooh, Jillian! ove that name, mainly 'cause people can't agree on what it means. I tend to side with "youthful", in any case," she exclaimed before realizing that probably no one cared. "Um, anyways, I'm not so sure about lovely, especially being the thorn next to two roses, but I mainly came to Sacramento because I pissed of too many Kindred in Los Angeles. Don't know why really, I thought everyone liked having a lot of things written about them," she finished sarcastically.
