Alice made a short chuckle and with a happy face she looked to the duel. Savage claws are awesome, but she expected more from the man without any weapons. She had seen enough sorcery in her life to know it could be more devastating than simple and brute force.

'May I ask you to what covenant you belong, Mister O'Connor?' If she was going to talk about other covenants, and their in battle participating members, it wouldn't be smart to offend one of its members directly.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained. And though he might have been a bit wary of Gangrel flashing claws this was too opportune a chance to pass up. And it was hardly as though throwing his hat into the ring locked him into any one fight.

Suit coat, dress shirt, and tie are removed; hung on a chair as he made his way across court. It would hardly do to ruin them the first night he wore them. And it now seemed that using a plain white t-shirt underneath had been a a good bit of foresight.

His face was neutral as he approached the weapon's cabinet, offering a nod to the Prince's ghoul. "Twin long swords, please."

Thomas notices the woman watching the fight between the Gangrel Priscus and the Bishop. The Mekhet had given a great deal of though about joining in on the competition but had decided against it. For one he still had so much to learn about the political games of the Kindred before jumping into that arena and if he should ever earn even a speck of Domain from the Prince he wanted to have the knowledge to run it properly. The second reason was more basic to his person ... Thomas felt that he had made a commitment to both the Domain and the First Estate and being put into Torpor or the Final Death while chasing a personal Regency would go against that commitment. He had ambition, after all he had sought out the Invictus, but knew that raw ambition without wisdom led down a dangerous path. Lady Dawes' actions at the recent meeting had been an example of that lesson.

"I belong to the First Estate." He replies to the attractive woman as they both converse but keep an eye on the fight.

Arnold Culler considered throwing his hat in with the duelists. Nothing in the Prince's speech had deemed that it was forbidden for current Regents to participate in the chance to gain more territory in the city. A look at his missing hand and a few moments thought on the matter convince Arnold that now is not the time for such bold action. The move just wouldn't be prudent at this juncture for a number of reasons, so Arnold settles down by the catwalk to spectate the fights.

The Reeve in his brain didn't much like the idea of wheeling a cart full of weapons into Court, particularly with the recent flux of traitors and double agents discovered working within Sacramento, but it was the Prince's decision to invite such danger and Arnold had nothing he could say for it. Still, he kept a wary eye on Nika and her cart, ready to spring into action should some Kindred decide to make a move.

He watched the fights with interest, silently rooting for those among clan Nosferatu who threw their lot in to participate. Another Regency claimed for the Haunts could only strengthen their clan, but only if their family could remain united as it had seemed to be on the night of their last meeting.

United for the most part, at least he muses, particularly as he watches Dirge take the stage. It wasn't that Arnold doubted her devotion to the Nosferatu. It was that Arnold was quite confident of Dirge's devotion to herself. It was a concept Arnold understood all too well, but recognized as both a virtue and a vice.

What a joy, another Kindred of Quality! Alice had always loved that term. Now she takes a step back. To make a curtsy, which she hadn't made yet because of all the excitement, but she had to look good for this fellow Invictus. 'Well, may I then represent myself as Madam Alice Brown, former Librettist of Rouen, France.' She didn't want to use the full title to every random Kindred she encountered, but to a member of the First Estate it would tell some needed information about her.

Alice smiles to wave away the strangeness of introducing herself for the second time. 'I think the pleasure of meeting you just became bigger. Now, I hope I'm not holding you off your change to become regent Mister O'Connor? I myself first want to establish in Sacramento before I take such risks, but I don't want to bore Seneschal Stamford with my presence right now.'
