OH FUCK Ajax thinks as Jillian uses the power of the beast to escape from his grasp, the only thing he can think to do is trying and hold her back again. The beast wanted blood but he hoped that maybe it would calm her slightly. Part of him wanted to Torpor her but he kinda liked her and wanted to prevent something bad from happening to her. She was a friend after all.

figuring out that the best option here was to run like the wind and hope he could outpace the psycho bitch. After all, if he ran, then he would (most likely) survive, he wouldn't be found responsible for killing another Kindred on his first night in town (even though it would have been her fault; Kindred authorities could be right pricks) or breaking Sanctified law forbidding Kindred-killing, and he wouldn't end up being hunted by the psycho bitch's friend.
With the words "fuck this, I'm gone!" Jacob turns and sprints as fast as he can AWAY from the pair of vampires. He didn't care if he was called a coward; at least he'd still be alive.

Although Ajax isn't the target of her Beast's rage, it's not entirely wild about getting grabbed on when there was killing that need to be done.
Wicked Claws express this opinion, shredding Ajax's arms to the bone, ripping through muscle and tendon like wet toilet paper.

When Jillian turns on him, Ajax is ready ... well sort of, using the stolen vitae to fill his body with supernatural stamina and using his power to blunt her strike. Still he's not going to die for some asshole he didn't know and lets go of the Gangrel. The dumb lick was on his own.

"Jill Calm Down Please." He says as he let's go, hoping that something of his friend is still in there and might be able to hear him.
