The Danse at Avalon

Michael had considered going to one of the other more wild venues but was feeling more upscale tonight since he had already dressed up. So, following a couple of rumors, he ended up finding the "City Style" club, Avalon.
The bar didn't interest him so much as the dance floor. He walked it's edge watching the footwork, holds, and turns. It really was fascinating to watch, but even better to participate in. For that he would need a partner first. So he started searching the social dance that went on around the edges for a half hidden glances of invitation from a wallflower.

After seeing Myah, Neil realized it had actually been a while since he had danced. Really danced, that is... not that.

The thought had crossed his mind that she might actually want to get back into form, or that they might go out on a date -- and he was still feeling prickly about the knife throwing. It wasn't going to happen with dancing, for sure.

The doorman gave him one of those "I know you from somewhere" looks, which reminded him that Myah was a VIP member here or something. He shrugged, and made his way in, curious to see what sort of action there was on the dance floor.

Neil danced the night away, moving from partner to partner and solo, modern to classical, and even a Charleston.

Satisfied he hadn't lost his touch, he declined numerous offers to leave and find more entertainment, but he did keep quite a few phone numbers. One never knew. Besides, sometimes it was just the performance that mattered.

With a happy smile on his face, he finished his drink, and left.

Narration:

Michael notices a group of five very attractive, well-dressed people off to one side of the club. Two men and three women, they all look college-age and are dressed in in a fashionable, if somewhat prep, manner. One of the women is talking on a cell phone, and he notices one of the others glance his way occasionally.

On his way out of the club, Nightfall gets an uncomfortable feeling of being watched. Looking around, he notices a car - an expensive sedan - parked in front of the club. There are two men in the front seat, and it appears they are not so much looking at him, but rather watching the club.

Nightfall walked for a bit, not really liking what he saw, and then remembered that Myah was a VIP or something at Avalon. On their first date, she had walked them all the way past the line and right in. Which, in a world of things he considered 'not my business', sort of made it his business.

He turned around and headed back, pulling out his phone, and looking at the license plate.

Michael makes his way towards the group. He thought briefly of extending his invitation to dance to the woman on the cell phone and get her involved in the partyinstead of hiding behind a long distance conversation. It was the glance that had drawn him though and it would wrong not to reward the wandering eyes first.
He arrived just as the music switched. He smiled all his attention on his target, showing his teeth.
"May I have this dance?" he asked, extending his hand. Gentlemanly but forward.

Narration:
As Savage looks around, he notices a strikingly attractive young man - perfect build, handsome in a wholesome, clean-cut way - approach a group of attrative men and women. The others might as not be there, though, because Savage's attention is fixated on the clean-cut man. He feels his inner Beast rise up, recognizing another of his kind and of slightly weaker blood. His Beast urges him to show this other vampire who is the superior predator.

((ST Note: Savage needs to roll Resolve + Composure at +2 to avoid anger frenzy. He gets the +2 bonus because he is in a public place and was seeking out others of his kind.))

As yet unaware of the presence of another vampire, Michael approaches the girl who had glanced his way. She's quite attractive - though not quite so much as Michael himself - with expensively styled, honey-blonde hair, expertly-applied make-up and green eyes.

She takes his extended hand in his, clasping it in her warm grasp. "I'd love to," she says, smiling, showing perfect white teeth. She turns and waves to her friends as she and Michael head to the dance floor.

Nightfall gets the licence plate and commits it to memory. After sending his text message, he goes back inside. He doesn't immediately see anyone with the mien of one of the Lost, but it is a pretty busy place.

Michael walks her onto the dance floor and spins her into a close hold.
"I'm Michael," he says into her ear and starts leading her through some basic steps that match the music. He keeps her close against his body, feeling her heat and her breath, using the contact to to guide her body from one movement to the next so even if she doesn't know the dance she can follow.
