From Taylor's Mood Post: On Beauty and Blood in Requium.
For someone who appreciates and lives to create beauty, what could be worse than knowing that under all the facade, you were grotesque? This post really captures the horror of the Vampire Unlife for me.

He/she couldn't take it anymore, it was torture to look like this. But Taylor had a fix. Downstairs, there was a cure. No, not the Taurobolium pool -- that was for others. Hidden inside the storage room down there was an antique porcelain bathtub filled with his/her own blood. Approaching it slowly, naked, Taylor submerged himself/herself completely. Laying at the bottom, Taylor reached out and grasped his/her ceremonial dagger and pulled it beneath the surface.
Taylor did not scream as the blade pierced his/her flesh and more blood entered the bath. He/she was used to this now, and the pain was nothing but a mild irritant. After an hour elapsed Taylor reemerged from the surface, his/her flawlessly beautiful body somehow glistening even in the lack of light. Before getting dressed for this evening, Taylor looked at himself once more in the mirror. Beauty is blood deep.
