Jumping on the Bed!

Matilda and Amy (mostly Amy) negotiated their way through hotel check-in pretty quickly, and hauled their luggage up to their room. It wasn't a luxury suite, but it was pretty swanky. Matilda haphazardly dropped her stuff by the door, ran into the room, and jumped up on the bed.

"We bought a house!" she exclaimed at Amy and started jumping on the bed. "We bought a house! We bought a house! We bought a house!"

After a few seconds of the silliness, Matilda stopped chanting (though she was still bouncing), and called to Amy. "Come on!" Matilda continued jumping and chanting "We bought a house!"

When it was clear that Amy had no intention of joining her on the bed, Matilda sprang off toward Amy, nearly bowling them both over. Matilda was laughing herself giddy, but she grabbed Amy around the neck and kissed her on the mouth. She pressed their foreheads together and then exclaimed in a very silly voice, "We bought a house!"

"No," Amy said dryly. She still hadn't put down her bags, but she crossed her arms across her chest anyway, determined to be a humbug.

Amy tried her best not to smile, but the silly voice was the straw that broke the camel's back. A smile cracked her stern facade, and she snorted out a giggle.

"You are too much," she said, kissing Matilda again. Amy set her stuff neatly down on and beside the large writing desk that was across from the bed. "I'm going to use the little girl's room. Why don't you order us some room service or something."

Matilda grabbed the stack of ornate brochures that were sitting in a brass holder on the desk and flopped down on the bed. She stretched out and kicked off her shoes. It felt good to rest her back and feet after all the traveling. One by one she held up the brochures and examined them. The first was the station listing and TV guide. She tossed it aside. The second was a listing of current events and local attractions. She laid it across her stomach. They would want to check that out later, if they were going to be here for several days. The third brochure was the room service menu.

"A-ha!" she said and sat up. "Food." She looked over the menu and called out to the bathroom. "What do you want, sweetie?"

Amy opened the door to the bathroom and stuck her head around. She stared at Matilda for a minute until she caught her eye. Matilda could only see Amy's head, bare arm and shoulder, and bare leg around the door. Her pale skin was covered in freckles, but it was obvious she was blushing. It was also obvious, that she was naked.

"There is a huge jacuzzi tub in this bathroom," Amy said. "You really should come see it."

"Yes!"

Matilda jumped up so fast she sent her phone and the brochures flying in all directions. By the time she reached the bathroom (which was really no time at all), she had pulled her shirt off and was working on her pants. She fell into Amy's arms just inside the bathroom, and the two began kissing passionately while Amy helped Matilda work the zipper on her pants. Without removing her lips from Amy's face, Matilda leaned over and pushed the door to the bathroom shut.

About an hour later...

Matilda stretched out on the bed again, but this time she was under the sheet. The rest of the bed covers had been pushed off the end of the bed. Matilda rolled over to curl up beside Amy who was also stretched out on the bed under the sheet. The ends of Matilda's hair were still damp from the tub and stuck to her shoulders and back. With one finger, she brushed Amy's damp and disheveled hair out of her face.

"Now I'm hungry," she said with a smile.

Amy pulled the sheet up to her chin. Even after years of being intimate, Amy was still uncomfortable being naked and exposed. She sighed at her own weirdness and rolled over to look Matilda in the eye. Amy was still breathing hard. Her face was flushed red, and she had little beads of sweat on her nose. She stared into Matilda's eyes and said with a cheshire grin, "You are so damned good at that." With a laugh, Amy leaned in and kissed Matilda on the nose. "Let's get dressed and order some food. What was on that menu?"

Matilda grinned back at Amy. She never got tired of hearing that.

With a laugh, Matilda threw off the sheets and climbed over Amy to grab the menus and things off the floor. She flopped back down on the bed and handed Amy the menu.

"I don't know what veggie things they have on there, but I'm eying that bacon burger."

While Amy looked at the room service menu, Matilda looked over the events pamphlet again. Once again she saw the headline for the art gallery. "Look at this," she said, sicking the pamphlet between Amy's eyes and the menu she was reading. "We should go. It's tomorrow night! Won't that be fun?"

"Hey!" Amy yelled when Matilda jerked back the sheet. She grabbed it, pulled it back up, and tucked it tightly under her arms. As Matilda crawled across her, and leaned over the edge of the bed to grab the stuff, Amy couldn't resist. She gave Matilda's bare ass a good hard smack. "Serves you right," Amy fussed, but she was still smiling.

She looked over the menu, scanning it for vegetarian . . . anything. The only obvious choice was the tofu burger. "Tofu burgers are so 90s" she mumbled.

Amy rolled her eyes and pushed the pamphlet away. "Art gallery? Really? Besides, we don't have anything to wear. It is probably super formal."

"We could go shopping," Matilda said hopefully. Both Amy and Matilda enjoyed shopping, but Matilda knew that Amy would almost never go for last minute formal dress shopping. That would be far too stressful.

"Whatever," Matilda said without waiting for Amy to respond. "I just thought it might be fun." She smiled at Amy and then crawled out of the bed, heading for the bathroom. Matilda sorted through the disheveled pile of clothes on the floor to find her pants and shirt. As she pulled them on, she tossed Amy her phone. "Get me the bacon burger," she said with a wink.

"Ugh!" was Amy's only response to "shopping." But when she heard Matilda relent so quickly she felt the pangs of guilt. She caught the phone, but before she began dialing she looked at the art gallery brochure again. "I don't know," mumbled, "it might be fun. I'll call the concierge to see where we can shop for some formal wear. After dinner . . ." she added quickly and began calling for room service.
