Joshua takes the group back to the park. He was beginning to get to know these particular stretches of road very well. So long as nothing else happened he could be an expert on Sacramento by the end of the week.
So. Find Animus' cabal mates, investigate the obelisks' material components, and look out for any Guardians. Easy-peasy.

As soon as the car stops moving, he gets out and heads toward the stones, looking around for Fiddler.

Fiddler Kept moving back towards the park, ignoring the feelings of dread he felt about what might have happened.
Upon his return, he sees Animus and two people he doesn't recognize- but weary and confused, shouts out to them, "Animus, over here!" while waving, and continuing toward them.

"Fiddler, I'm glad you're alright. This is Zero and Josh. Apparently Wellmer felt it when the stone went off and sent them to investigate. We're supposed to look into the material reflections of the stones and report back. And avoid any Guardians that might show up."

"Sup," Zero says, with a small wave. He still didn't 'get' the Guardian bit, but Cal was pretty cool for an older guy, so he'd do what he asked.
"So are we supposed to take pictures, or what?" he asked.

"If you have a camera, sure, take pictures. Look for resonance. Any information you can gather short of actively casting on one of the stones, do it. Just don't touch any of them."

Joshua takes a moment to look Fiddler, but once it seems Fiddler's okay physically he turns his eyes inward and focuses.

Everything now seems to have the color leeched from it, appearing mostly in shades of grey.
"Ok, that sounds easier..." he said to Animus after greeting both of the new guys. "Let's try to do this quickly, in case another stone goes off."
