Halloween Party

[Tug]

Tug arrives at Avalon. He came because he was a Sentinel and the Hierarch had decided to enjoy the Halloween celebrations. Costume parties had lost their thrill to the Thyrsus Councilor, since he wore one, sometimes several, every day. At least, he could go out tonight without spellcraft, and hey, under that stipulation, Jammer wouldn't let him in the Rage any longer. That place had been nothing but trouble for Tug, proving there's always a silver lining if you look hard enough. Maybe, as Falx suggested while observing his brother work over the punching bag in the Hostel basement, he might try to enjoy himself tonight. It used to be so easy.

Da Mayor

The Governator sees Animus, talking with...Triquetra, right, right. He's not gonna block the Hierarch, no way. The big guy takes a look around, sees magi he knows, and a few he doesn't. He walks up to Joshua Scissorhands and gives him a 'sup' nod and launching right into business. "It's me, man. Tug. You know them?" he asks, pointing out Aboena and Maria*. He also notices Ariadne...and Alison...maybe they'll dance together...focus, big guy, focus...

[Ariadne]

Ariadne waves back to Triquetra and watches her start to talk with a guy dressed like a wolf..werewolf? Some people go all out and pretend to be something they're not. Ariadne wasn't a fan of that personally, it takes away from her and puts attention on the clothes. Which is not the point of clothes at all.

"Hey Akroma." She gets a quick look over. "Nice costume, where'd you get the inspiration?" Ariadne smiles at the last part, it was funny after all. A mage playing a witch.

"The museum? O no problem, we need to make sure everyone finds the right people to talk to."

[Animus]

Animus glances around, mildly surprised at the number of familiar faces. "Good to see you again ... Colin, was it? And Alison. Seems we're getting quite the party going here."

A second later he turns back to Triquetra. "Perhaps just someone who remembers who the good dancers are." But even as he feels the mood of the party bouying him, he wonders just how long it can last.

Colin nods and then realizes who is asking and smiles. "Shit Andrew, didn't recognize you at all." He says, winking. He takes a moment to look at the others present and gauges them. A lot of potential for a fun night stood out to him, but he wasn't planning on taking anyone home. Always the go-with-the-flow kinda guy, he'd just roll with whatever happened this evening. "Yeah, definitely have a decent sized group going, for sure." He says, still looking at the others.

He wished he'd smoked a cigarette before coming in, the urge already tingling ever so slightly in the back of his mind but he pushed it aside, opting to talk instead. "So, how do you all know each other?" He asks his accent coloring his words, ready to get to know everyone.

Matt Kelly

Matt wandered into Avalon and searched the place for an open spot at the bar. He takes a moment to admire a few of the fine looking ladies in their costumes and thought that maybe the Beach Boys were on to something with that whole California Girls idea. Well except for the ones who have had all that work done on them and the crazy Miss America contestants. That Heidi Montag or whatever chick scared the Half Moon more than a pack of the Pure charging at him. On the way to the bar he complimented a dude dressed like a Ghostbuster on his costumed, winked at a couple of ladies and finally ordered a rum and coke.

It was on his second look around the club that he noticed Alison talking to a couple of dudes and decided that he should probably say hello and at least let her know he was around. Maybe she knew some of the hot girls in the club, he wandered over wondering if the Alpha would make a good wingman er wingperson. "Hey, nice outfit."

Matt's Costume

So many people knew him! Al-Adin's grin is exploding off of his face in happiness. So many friends! "This is like the best thing ever. Its totally so cool how many people know me! You are all such good friends!" He hugs Allison, Andrew, Bianca, and Colin.
He then starts humming the toy story melody to "you've got a friend in me" grinning with a huge smile.

The only thing odder than having Mr. Freeze giving him the head-nod is hearing that voice come from beneath the mask. "Tug, man, good to see you," Joshua says, and pauses. He almost adds Sorry to hear about your brother but that social filter kicks in at the last second. Halloween party, people trying to have fun? Probably not the best time for that. Instead he looks in the indicated direction, taking a moment to determine if he knows the costumed ladies. "No, I haven't. Haven't been back for long, lotta new faces."

And suddenly there were new people everywhere, none of them familiar. Prompting a subconscious half-step closer to Animus, the one person she did know. The smile didn't falter though, as he took note of all the names. And it turned into a bit of a teasing grin at Animus's comment about dancing. "It is always nice to know exactly who it is you're dancing with." So no one else there would get the inside joke, their problem not hers.

The sudden hug from Al caught her completely by surprise, complete with the slight stiffening that such unexpected contact usually brought. Though he was just so cheerful that she couldn't really bring herself to be at all bothered by it. "Umm, I've run into," not Animus, "Andrew a few times before. Guess you could say we run in similar circles."

[Tug]

"Okay," Tug nods. He wasn't sure whether Joshua had intentions on reclaiming a Sentinel position for the Consilium, but even if the Moros wasn't, he was still an Arrow, which meant they had jobs to do tonight. Even if the Hierarch was an Arrow, too. "So, you want to check out the new people or handle security?" he asks, offering his fellow First Talon choice of tasks. "Oh, yeah," he says, remembering West's instructions, "we're supposed to split the grunts between us. I figured I'd take Ash, you'd take Animus, keep either team from redundancy. Work for you?" Tug looks out again and sees Chief, then gives his cabal's Enchanter a wave.

[Animus]

Much as he tries to avoid it, Animus can't help but stiffen just a bit under Al's hug. Such innocence, so easily calling people 'friend'. You haven't watched as so many left or turned their backs that you start to wonder when the next person will do the same.

Perhaps, if not for the mask, Triquetra would have seen the twinkle in his eye at her comment. "Certainly." And maybe when you do know, you'll understand. It seemed almost too much to hope for. Bu wouldn't another Thyrsus recognize the pull of the animal? "Perhaps a bit later?"
