Theo got on his bike and started up again. For anyone who was following him, if anyone was following, he took no notes and marked no map. He just rode along the lines looking at the runes. He didn't have time to put on a show of forgetfulness.

    ~~Narration~~

As Theo continues to map the ley lines, some with the macro/micro sigils, some without, he can't help but compare some of the equations to some of the previous ones.

    Which really creeps him out.

He's pretty sure there are new, extra sigla in his memory's 'images' of past equation bits.

He's not entirely sure, because then he'd be doubting his own infallible memory.

To Theo misremembering something was impossible, not without the use of Mind magic and he hadn't seen any active spells in his scrutinies. There had been an ancient resonance though but was that so abnormal when studying ley lines. Then there was the draining effect that was simliar to a spells perpetual use of energy. It had been different though, not a real spell in the standard defination.
Were the runes themselves some sort of quasi spell event set in motion a long time ago? Some mystic formula of metaphysical thought? Could something like that exist? Could it propagate?
That was a scary thought. Was what these runes were growing along the line like ivy along the branches of a tree, strangeling it? Could it do that in his mind or was he getting more paranoid by the minutes?
He went quickly through his thoughts. Had he ever learned of something like this.

Theo can't remember anything arcane like this.

Nothing came to mind, which meant a small conflict. It possibly meant he truely was losing his mind. His memory such as it had been was not something he had ever questioned. To start now would open up what he considered to be one of the foundations of his life. To doubt it was to disbelieve his very existance in a way he was sure other people couldn't understand. He couldn't nessasarily bring up the right mermory in a stressful situation but every recall had clarity. That wasn't the right word. He couldn't understand each and every voice of the crowd he had walked through during life. He could remember the sound with accuracy though.
Something else had to be going on and he was unwilling to except it was having an effect on his memory. At least not in making him misremember. The new runes had to be coming from somewhere, though. Perhaps he was making them himself, providing the new information, and what seemed resufacing memories was the result of solving the puzzle. There had to be something mystical at work to craft them within his mind.
Legacies attainments worked without paradox or spells. This could be something similar, though probably not identical. Magic within the mundane. On a very grand scale across the city and a smaller one in thought. It was nothing he had ever learned of in his study of the occult. Not in this way at least. The thrill of potenial discovery (or rediscovery) was exhilirating. More so even than his fears and doubts cautioned him to turn back, the call of knowledge enticed him forward.
He could handle whatever this was and it would turn out fine. He had a strong mind, clarity of purpose.
He kept on, being even more observant. He would figure this out.

The spends the rest of the day continuing his mapping task. Several things he is able to extrapolate:

Not every ley line has the graffiti.

The graffiti seems to get smaller, tapering off like tentacles or tendrils as he moves further away from the city.

Although the Bismarck does seem to be situated on a convergence of strong lines, it's not the hub of the graffiti.

The urban sprawl was digusting. What type of zoning laws did they enforce here?
Theo used his mental map to make an estimate of where the highest density of sigils might be.
If a line goes a goodly distance outside city limits without being amrked by spray paint, Theo goes on to mapping another line. He keeps going keeps going even as the day wears on. This needed to be finished.

    Nightfall is approaching.

He silently waves and smiles. (ok, I'm sorry, I really couldn't resist )

As best as Theo is able to piece together what he's seen and hasn't seen, the tendrils seem to originate near an urban park labeled 'Granite Park' on his map.

Theo's better judgment told him to go home, it was dangerous at night even without Awakened threats more so with them. He didn't listen to his better judgement.
Theo's legs told him that if they didn't get a break, there would be hell to pay tommorrow in sore muscles. Apotheosis did listen to them.
He went back to his apartment for the night after finishing the section of map he had chosen to do.
