A few days after the fight at the Raven there comes a knock on the front door of Aaron Blackwell's residence at about 10:00 in the morning.

Aaron looked up from his camera, raising an eyebrow towards the door. Unfortunately, looking at it inquiringly wouldn't tell him anything so he set the camera down and got to his feet with a mild grunt. A fews days of recouperation had done him a lot of good but it would be a while before his body didn't feel twice his age.

"Just a moment," he called, walking as quietly as he could towards the door and looking out the peep hole. It didn't cost much to be cautious and it always paid off with a huge reward. His chain was locked so after seeing who was out there he opened the door to the chain's length; assuming, of course, there wasn't anything overtly threatenting.

Aaron opens the door to a Fed Ex delivery man. He carries a small package under his arm and carries an electronic clipboard in his hand. He holds the clipboard out to Aaron.

    "Sign please."

Must be trying to compensate for my stint at the raven...

"No problem," Aaron says, closing the door and unhooking the chain quickly. He snatched a pen off his table and opened the door once more. He checked over the packaging and scratched out a squigly line which looked part cursive and part arabic.

"Busy day?" he asked, handing the clipboard back to the Fed Ex courier. After recieving the reply Aaron took the parcel over to his table and sat down to examine it and its contents.

The delivery guy shrugs in response to Aaron's question, handing over the package before turning and walking away.

Aaron is easily able to open the package, and upon dumping its contents out on the table finds only a book. But, really, not only a book. A book Aaron recognizes from his past, as one that used to grace the top of his mother's nightstand. It was her diary, and Aaron had thought that it had burned up along with his parents in the fire on that fateful night.
