"Twist, could you stay a moment?" Asa asked, as the Reeve and Archon reached the door.
Twist paused, her hand on the door handle. Since it would be pointless to waste the motion she had already started she did a very un-girly thing. She opened the door and held it for Arnould. Once he had gone through she let it swing shut and then turned back to Asa.
"Of course."
She took a step back into the room, her eyes on the Prince.
Asa stood up and walked over. "That wasn't so bad, was it?" he asked with a smile. "Thank you for not mentioning the willworkers to the Reeve," he continued, moving close to her. "It seems discretion is one of your many lovely qualities."
Asa looked down at the lithe dancer; first at her face, and then letting his eyes trace the contours of her black gown, finally coming coming back to her eyes.
Their proximity roused his Beast, and he stroked it, soothing it with promises.
At his words, Twist's posture shifted just slightly- her body relaxed, became a little more tempting, her eyes becoming heavy, her whole being becoming more...Daeva. She hadn't realized how uptight, how nervous, she had been throughout the meeting until she finally let Asa's words release some catch withing and let herself be what she was. If she were kine it would have been like releasing a breath long held.
She gave a small laugh almost under her breath, "No-I think it went quite well considering." *Considering I have been given the title Lady and yet this was my first Invictus meeting ever.* She watched as the Prince approached, standing her ground, still thinking that maybe he had asked her to stay to speak to her Prince to Hound.
His next sentence didn't dissuade the notion and she smiled, about to comment but he continued and as he did so, suddenly his eyes were no longer meeting hers but dropping lower. When his eyes finally returned to her face she still had a smile on her face, but it was nothing like the original. Beautiful, proud, smug and very similar to one that Asa had seen before- only then, it had been directed at Elle and not him. "I do remember you saying that you wished the issue of the willworkers kept quiet. And I do try to do what my Prince wishes."
