It's a beautiful day, with a hint of breeze to keep the trio from straining, and clear skies that lets their avian eyes see for miles. A random pedestrian here and there points or looks, knowing their ornithology well enough to consider them an unusual sight, but are quickly left behind as the birds rise to indistinguishable specks.

Animus takes to the skies, reveling in the whoosh of air past his wings, the keen senses of the avian form, and the city laid out before him. At first he begins to pull ahead of the other two, but he loops about, measuring his pace to keep abreast of Ankh and Tug with a good-natured "caw". As the group flies in the general direction of the bridge, Animus watches the city below, searching for anything out of place. Seven months has it been since the four of us ran into the Lines' self-appointed guardian?

The Tugbird also begins searching the vast, intricate earthworks that is the city of Sacramento, and he knows specifically what he's looking for- sporty red motorbikes and the grubby Mister "I'm Not a Bum, I Just Sleep on Public Benches" Onions. He calls out to the others before descending to a height at which he could make out individual faces.

Ankh turns to follow Tug's decent. She keeps her eyes open, making sure no one decides to target three birds. Most people would ignore them, but there were a few others who seem to think stunning birds out of the sky is a grand passtime. She looks next to her to make sure Animus is with them.

|
|
|
|
|
In the distance, Tug sees a red sport bike with a crowd around it; it's in a parking lot, deserted but for dozens of cars and motorcycles.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Tugbird sees his prey. Instinct tells him to swoop in for the kill, but instead, he slows, screeches, and circles round until he's sure he's got the other's attention. Then he proceeds with care, beating his wings only enough to keep his speed and altitude, opting to silently glide as much as possible toward his prey...no, not prey, stupid bird...suspect. As he approaches, he looks for the most advantageous perch from which the three may spy on the gathering below.

At Tug's antics, Animus begins to scan the area ahead, finally spotting the bike. Vector He shifts into a glide of his own, searching the parking lot and the area around it.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Ankh follows Tug but at a slower and more leasurly pace. She branches off from the other two and moves to circle the parkinglot from behind. Two birds chasing each other was common, but three was not. She scans the area to see if she can find an out of the way place to perch and still see Animus and Tug.

|
|
|
|
The slight, dark haired figure on the bike almost appears to be holding court, and holds up a shiny object that flashes in the light.
There are enough building and street lights that Ankh can easily find a perch.
