Jack pulls his recently-enough acquired 2006 Corolla into a parking space by the Mysterium's cover museum. He locks it up after removing his backpack from the rear seat, then he heads up the steps. At the top, Jack waits outside for a few minutes to give Animus some time to show up.

Animus gets off at the bus stop and walks the two blocks to the museum. Walking to the top of the steps, he spots Jack ... and almost immediately, his mood darkens almost immediately. Shaking himself off, he tries to flash a grin, but it doesn't reach his eyes. "Is Jordan coming?" A hint of sadness creeps into his voice.
Why? I barely know him, but my experiences were positive. Why this? Why now?
The green T-Bird pulls into the museum lot and eases into a parking place. Lots of practice in LA makes driving in Sacramento a no brainer.
Jordan got out of the car, locked it and set the alarm.
"Hi, folks. Are we ready?"
He smiled at Jack and nodded respectfully to Master Animus. Peculiar...he barely knew the Herald, but he had this visceral feeling of wind beneath wings he didn't have. Jordan wondered if he needed an analyst for other reasons than Beverley's departure.

At Jordan's approach, Animus' melancholy deepens further, bringing with it a slight twinge of failure. But still no insight. "Yeah, we're ready." He turns and begins walking into the museum.

Jack noticed Animus' change in mood, though he couldn't understand why he would feel that way. He double-checked that he had the doily in his backpack for today, along with the notes he took at the Tower Bridge, then said, "Alright, looks like we're good to go."
He followed Animus into the atrium and listened for the telltale signs of Gina manning the front desk.

The skrikt skrikt sound of a nail file accompanies soft pops as Gina looks up at the trio. She has the decency to consider looking embarrassed, putting the file away.
The gum stays.

Gina stands. "I'll show you to the conference room," she offers instead.
She leads the way to the wide stairs, taking them up to the second floor.
Look at that butt.
No, don't. Not unless your a fan of bubblegum and attitude as well.
In short order, she points to a glass-walled room that looks down over the entrance hall of the Museum.
