Sonnie had hoped Vincent's cool idea would work longer. She skidded to a halt, turning to face the oozing foe behind them.
"GO!" she yelled to Seraphina, not that the Fairest needed the encouragement. More of her own blood was flecked towards the dark figure, this time the droplets changing shape into ninja throwing stars! Razor-sharp red blades spinning in with deadly speed!

Whatever had snagged Sera previously seems to have traveled on to the fleeing Dreamer. Or perhaps they think their safe enough to pause and take stock.
Sera, being above the labyrinthine warren of bark-steel-sinew can move over greater distances faster, especially now with the others occupying the Shadow. She hasn't caught up with the Dreamer, but she's close
Vincent snarls the Shadow's limbs, leaving it vulnerable to Sonnie's bloody shuriken, but it doesn't need to move to attack! It lets out a high pitched shriek!
Only for the sound and pressure to faulter before reaching it's target - Sonnie.

She picks up on what Sonnie shouts, and nods, not sure if the Beast will see it or not. But that was the green-light she needed to know Sonnie had the shadow handled.
Now the shriek, that wasn’t a sound she would soon forget. A chill racing down her spine as she moves after her target!

"IS IT CALLING FOR HELP!!!" Vincent did not like the sound of the shriek, and it seems the stone is holding this thing, so why not use it to shut it up.
Focusing on the stone again, he wills it to shoot up and engulf the shadow's entire face in the stone.

MantleHey, remember when Shadow Man turned Sonnie's metal spike attack back against her?
Yeah, she decided fair is fair in all sex and war... or however that saying goes.
With a grin, the simian Beast reached out a hand and harmlessly scooped up the faltering sound waves. Holding the vibrating ball of screams before her, she took a deep breath and added her own monkey screech to the ear-splitting panoply. The jumble of noise ricocheted back at Dark Oozy Guy.

The White figure's rest is over, or perhaps they sense Sera's pursuit, up and over, under and through the Dream flees! The Dreamer is still ahead of Sera, but the Fairest is gaining.
Sonnie grabs the failed shriek and uno reverses it towards the caught Shadow, it tries to screech once again, but Vincent's effort has what passes for it's mouth covered.
As it soundlessly snarls at the Lost, it oozes once more through it's bonds, it's body writhing, strips and coils of shadow and ooze moving like snakes across the blank blackness of it's silhouette, even as steaming, boiling droplets fall and sear into the roof like acid.

Vincent seeing the 'shadow' ooze out of his hold. Focusing his entire will into manipulating the liquid stone.
He moves it around and forms a solid stone dome around the shadow, focusing on making the dome airtight.

Suddenly, Sonnie was glad she hadn't made physical contact with the Shadow Man. That would have sucked.
Looking around, eyes seeking a new weapon to deploy, she spotted something and smiled. Raising her hands above her head towards the night sky, the Beast suddenly swung them down towards their enemy. As she did, several of the stars above came streaking down. Like little laser beams, gathered together as an orbital strike!
Starlight versus shadows!
Though, at the last second she wondered if the stars would reach their target before it got sealed up in Vincent's stone's sarcophagus.

Sera might have hit a snag, but the Dreamer has as well. The Dreamer might be in the throws of a nightmare and not a lucid dreamer, but Sera was she wasn't bound by the laws of physics.
Vincent's dome is almost complete when Sonnie's starlight laser sears into the Shadow causing a small shockwave that ripples out from the creature and causes the completed dome to vibrate, but it holds.
For a moment fear spikes through them, they can no longer see the Shadow in the Corner of Their Eyes. Until they can.
The Shadow oozes and coils and shifts out from under the dome, burrowing through the cracks in the roof until it stands, all writing coils, multi-limbs, and tattered form. More or the corrosive droplets fall from it and onto the roof below.
