Sonnie looked a little shocked as she gazed at the smoking spot on the roof where the Shadow Monster had previously stood oozed.

Wow, that worked?

She blinked her eyes and turned her attention to Vincent. At his words, her thoughts instantly went to Seraphina's safety. Her queen was out there alone and she couldn't be certain the Shady Freakazoid wouldn't pop back up soon. The Claviger spun about to the last direction she remembered the Fairest headed.

"This way!" she yelled as she started sprinting away, "I think!"

The Dreamer keeps up the litany of 'no's, twitching in anticipation of a blow, or a drop, but frightening themselves when it fails to happen.

Sonnie Wu, Monkey of the Wind. After saying her piece, Sonnie is off! Zip, zip, zoom. Hopping, running, bouncing between roofs until - there! Sera! And...the figure in white, though dirtier then the last time the Simian Spring had glimpsed them.

Vincent is left in Sonnie's dream dust. And with Sonnie zipping off that way, and not coming back, it looks like that's the way to go.

Sera I'll need a Pres + Persuasion to try and get them to calm down. If Vincent gets an esuxx like Sonnie he can get to them with just that one roll, if not, it'll take a couple

It was hard to not be frustrated, she wasn’t here to hurt them. But she didn’t know what they had been through thus far in the Dream. So she pauses, takes a deep breath, and lowers her hands.

“We’re not here to hurt you, we just want to help you.” She says again.

Vincent looked after Sonnie and immediately took off after her. Knowing he had to rush to catch up.

Sonnie did some cool flippy free-running to reach Sera in record time. She even did a wall-run at one point! Sweet!

However, she skidded to a halt upon witnessing the scene before her. The Spring Queen was obviously trying to calm the glowy dude down, and Sonnie bursting in like the Kool-Aid Man wasn't going to help.

Would have been funny, though.

OH YEAH!

Instead, the Beast did her best to be quiet and unobtrusive.

"Shadow's dead!" she said, in a hushed voice.

With Sera's raising of the Dreamer, the warren of bark-brick-sinew, had been raised as well, bringing with it all manner of things that had been laying along the ground.

With the death of the bubbling, boiling oozing Shadow Sonnie and Vincent notice things seem chillier then they had when the thing was 'alive'.

To Vincent the distance between him and the Springs draws longer and longer, the rooftop landscape seeming to narrow in the way a nightmare's hallway stretching on forever.

The Dreamer is shaking, and tearful, growing more as Sonnie appears on the scene, but calming when nothing bad happens, combined with Sera's words.

"Help?" they ask, bleak and hopeful.

She hears Sonnie, but keeps her focus on the Dreamer. Still, she nods, “Ok, great job.” Said towards the Beast. It wasn’t lost on her how Sonnie was keeping her voice hushed, and she appreciated it, knowing this was a delicate situation with the Dreamer.

A nod of her head, “Yes.” How much did she want to say? “We heard people were in danger in their dreams, and we wanted to help, save people and put a stop to the danger.” She didn’t want to say people were dying, that would not help the situation. “Can you tell me what you are running from?” was it the shadow thing? Or something else? Never one to let her guard down, especially in someone elses dream, eyes briefly look around.

Come on, you bonehead, focus! Vincent thought as he tried to get his feet moving. He knew his companions could handle themselves, but he was not sure what was waiting for them. And the chill was not helping matters.

Sonnie crouched down, balanced on the balls of her monkey feet, and quietly watched Sera and the scared Glowbug. She was content to leave her friend to handle this situation. In the meantime, she wondered where Vincent was.

"Dream...?" the Dreamer asks, their face a picture of confusion, before the expression melts away. Leaving them shaking once more. "No, I - I neeed - I have to-to-run. They'll catch me-catchme-catchme!" the Fear that grips the Dreamer is deep, perhaps in that dream sense, they don't know what they're running from, only that they must run.


With an extra push Vincent speeds off, conquering the stretching expanse, the Springs, and the Dreamer come into view. He's not quite caught up to where they are yet, but he's close!

Vincent focused on catching up to the Springs, fails to take note, but the Springs, however notice that now with the opening provided by raising the Dreamer, there's now a clear path from the ground to the sky, and slowly, but surely the fog, the mist, is rising, and with it, the cold.
