There are pros and cons for meeting in public, but since they've all agreed and the meeting is happening, the pros must outweigh the cons.

Entering the pub, the Lost are met with a warm atmosphere and the savory scents of cooking meals. A quick glance shows where the Grey Hoods were already sitting at a large table booth. Colin, David (Shotgun sans Shotty) and Jason (Baseball Bat sans Bat), in the chairs around the table, with Elena sitting on the bench seat. The Grey Hoods look surprisingly unassuming now without their signature weapons upon their person. But they're here, and by the table laden with beer and the remnants of wings they've been here a while.

With a quick nod, and words exchanged the hostess lets the Lost through to sit with the others. On their approach they can see Colin's leg bouncing, and Elena picking at her finger nails.

"Hey," comes David's deep base, "Sit down, want to order something - "

" - have you found Matty?" Colin breaks in nearly glaring at the Lost before they have a chance to sit. To which Elena reaches over to try and smack Colin upside the head, it doesn't connect ,and she doesn't ty again.

Four sets of eyes peer up at the Lost, questions clear, apprehensions vibrant.

Saying that this is continued, but not directly so everyone gets a refill on Glamour and WP. Please include your current equipment in your first post,

Sonnie was the first to step inside the pub, as the Claviger wasn't about to let her Queen expose herself to the Hunters unescorted. As with the last meeting, her Mask was hardened. She didn't need these people ogling her simian features. Going from the brightness of the summer day outside to the dimmer interior of this establishment cause her eyes to blink. They'd need a moment to adjust.

The Union thugs were noted. No weapons in sight. Didn't mean they were unarmed, of course. Pistols and knives can be concealed. Like her own staff and throwing blades.

She looked about for anyone else of interest as she waited for Sera and Circe to enter. The Beast remained silent for now, letting the Monarchs take the reins of the conversation. She simply stood vigil.

The Nix hadn’t been far behind Sonnie, but finding parking, especially for an SUV, was challenging. Annoying, but what can you do?

Walking in, she pauses to let her eyes adjust as well, flipping her sunglasses onto the top of her head, and looking around. Despite the weather, she was dressed in black, but it looked good on her. Everything probably looked good on her. It was part of being a Fairest, and she was learning to love it. Her Mask was Hardened, a good safety measure when out and about.

The jeans had small water patch sewn onto the pocket.

Sonnie was spotted first and she gives her a smile, “How’s it going?” as sapphires look about the room, seeing who they were looking for, she nods. “Looks like they got here first, shall we?” she knew Circe wouldn’t be far behind, and they could chit chat until she got there.

So the Treasured leads the way, walking right up to the table with a smile, “I hope we haven’t kept you guys waiting too long, parking is a nightmare!” true story.

Catching the questions, hands were held up, “Lets wait for Mary to get here before we get to business.” Cause Mary was important. “Anything good on tap?” a beer sounded good. The pictures were tucked safely into her purse.

[Circe]

Circe brought up the rear, having eyeballed the area to see if the Hoodies were watching things. Or some freakshow. She wasn't trying to be as flash as Seraphina, hard to do as a Fairest. Circe was smirked as Seraphina defers to her. "Thanks fer the patience," she muses aloud as she joins them, "Told ya ta let me drive." Then looks at the mundies with pity, "I am afraid the news isn't going to be the best, given what was found," she looks to Seraphina. If the Spring decides to go for a chair, she'll pull it out for her.


She hoped Sonja would join her on overwatch, especially given the news they were giving to mortals who thought they could take Them with baseball bats. Summer Contracts could keep the Springs safe if needed. It was why she had the vest on under her clothes.

Sonnie on high alert, watching for threats to the Queens spots suspisious possibly gun shaped bugles form David and Elena, and sheathed bowie knife handing off Jason's belt. Who knew what, if anything Collin was carrying. Maybe the 'leader' of the Grey Hoods was still keen on his running skills, even though he and everyone else knew Sonnie could easily run him down.

Even if the hearty sounds of the pub around them, the jaunty tunes playing out from the dusty speaks the quiet seems to grow as the Queens speak, and not offering explicitly good news.


"Shit," Comes Jason's voice, in time with Collin's more vehement "Fuck! What did you fuckers-" to be cut off by Elena, "Knock it off, they're doing us a favour. So...." she trails off as as David orders another round.

"Is he...is he.....is he....gone?" she asks after a long moment.

Yes, Sonnie was amusing herself with silly jokes in her head, while she quietly stood guard. Her eyes kept shifting about, watching several of the Union people. The armed ones, mainly.

Collin's belligerent reaction didn't get a twitch out of the Beast. She wasn't worried about him. He was predictable. It was the composed Hunters that would be the serious threats. The ones who were quiet and calm. The ones with steady nerves. The ones who might slip a gun out when everyone was watching the loud idiot. Sonnie understood the value of distraction, intentional or not.

In any case, she just continued her watch as the Fairest spoke.

[Seraphina]

Speaking of Mary, Sera offers a quick wave to her, business could start. Well, kinda. Public space meant public safe words.

A solemn nod as Circe spoke, “We didn’t actually find him, but did find some proof of what might have been going on.” She didn’t want to come out and say he was dead, that could draw more attention.

“Thank you, Mary!” that was sweet of the Summer.

There was a slight cringe at the outburst, maybe a public place wasn’t the best idea. “I know the news is upsetting, but we need to keep a cool head in this.” And keep our fucking voices down.
“Plus, we didn’t do anything, we followed up on leads you provided us.” And asked us to look into.

Sera will reach into her bag, pull out the pictures and magazine, place them face down and slide them to Elena, who seemed to be the more level headed of their friends. “This is what we found at the location you provided.” Plus, body parts, but that was not appropriate bar talk.

Circe slowly reaches into her tote, slowly pulling out the printed out files, "This is everything I could find on the owner of the locker. Wasn't much, I'm afraid."

Circe would keep an eye on them just in case they got enraged. If so, she'd have to attract their attention with Summer's contracts. Hopefully not.

If they ask what was inside the locker, she'd mention how they gaslit the bastard. Actually, Circe decides to admit it anyway, "We destroyed the tools we found inside. Asshole seemed to need ta be fucked with. So, we fucked with him."

[Saber Sloth]

"What the fuck? What the fuck? What the fuck?" Collin swears as he looks over the photos, snatching them Elena before the girl could take them from Sera. He gets another swift smack, as Elena takes them back, loosing colour in her face before handing them over to Jason who looks through before showing David.

Between them, they start flipping through the magazines.

"So. What. A grocery list? Window shopping? And now Matty's..." Elena presses her hand to her mouth. Pulls the photos back to her side of the table, "Did you find anything of him there or just these pictures?"

"When you said you fucked up he tools, was it...supplies or uh - any of Matty's....things?" Jason asks a moment after Elena's question.

Around them the pub carries on, the waitress stops and delivers four more beers, while asking "Anything for you ladies? Beer? We got a deal on wings and potato skins..." a teasing lead, everyone wants wings and potato skin.

She was Spring, not Summer. She could indulge her desires while playing bodyguard, right? Besides, the Union people were being civil, mostly. "Ah, yes, an order of wings and potato skins for me, please!" she smiled at the waitress charmingly, only briefly taking her eyes off the Hunters.
