A letter to the Pastor

A letter was deposited in Elysium, waiting to be picked up. It consisted of bond paper in a corresponding envelope, sealed with red wax (the seal bearing the letters AMB) and inscribed with black ink in oldfashioned roundhand. On the outside only the name of the recipient was written 'Mr. Wells'. Both the envelope and the letter itself had a noticable odour of frankincense.

'Dear cousin,

the reason for this letter is unfortunately not the gathering to get to know each other better that I intended at some point, but the rather unfortunate situation of us missing our Priscus. Thus I think it is our duty to gather and determine how we are going to manage the situation and how we're going to proceed, should the situation persist longer.

A letter is sent soon after to Baker's Haven, similarly sealed (though without letters) and marked with the Lancea Sanctum symbol next to the signature.

Dear Cousin,

The Priscus' absence troubles me as well. You are right to recommend we meet and discuss the Clan's future moving forward. Given that our usual Clan hideout likely won't be accessible, I'll advise that we meet in my Haven. It's out of the way and guarded from prying eyes and ears. There we can talk strategy.

There is no letter sent in return but a simple piece of paper folded into an envelope and sealed, containing only one question and one further word.

'Agreed. Tonight or tomorrow?'

A similarly quick response follows, this time with an address enclosed.

Tomorrow night. I'll have to rearrange some things.
