JC calls Conner

[JC Smith]

JC calls the number Conner gave him at the end of court.

*ring ring*

[Conner Wells]

Conner pulls out his phone, the caller ID eliciting a mixed reaction of relief and apprehension. Looks like Mr Smith took the bait first.

He answers, puts the phone to his ear. "This is Mr Wells." Best to determine what the call was for before jumping to any more conclusion.

[JC Smith]

"Hello, Mr. Wells. This is JC Smith. I'm calling because I thought I might take you up on your offer to talk about your church? If the offer still stands."

[Conner Wells]

Apparently Someone was smiling on him: Mr Smith's interest seemed genuine. "Of course. Where would you like to meet?"
He was very much the guest in this scenario. That and discussions of faith tended to be more successful and friendly in comfortable places.

[JC Smith]

"There's the Nox," he suggested "Though if you have a place you'd feel better talking about the church, that would work as well." Elysium offered safety but it didn't exactly lend itself to open conversations, it's be rude to bring him to the house only to use it to discuss other covenants, and his own haven wasn't exactly private.

[Conner Wells]

"The Nox sounds perfect." He'd heard of the space: a nightclub in the busier section of town. Just busy enough for a couple of gentlemen to go unnoticed for a night. "Would you be available at {time}?"

[JC Smith]

There was a small pause.

"I should be free then on [date]. Does that work for you?"

[Conner Wells]

Conner makes a mental note of the time and date. "It certainly does. Thanks again for reaching out Mr Smith, I look forward to our discussion. I hope your night goes well." Assuming Mr Smith has no further input, Conner ends the call and begins making preparations.
