Call to Quinn Durant

[Connor OBrien]

The next evening after meeting Connor at Elysium, a phone call come to the number that Quinn has publicly available.

[Quinn Durant]

"Hello this is Quinn." Quinn's voice came over the line, it was quiet in the background.

[Connor OBrien]

"Miss Durant, this is Connor" His accent gave away which one. "Forgive me for calling out of the blue like this, I hope it isn't too presumptuous of me. I was wondering if you would like to meet up to get to know each other a little better, preferably in a place that isn't so... formal... as when we last met." The faint sound of light jazz can be heard in the background.

[Quinn Durant]

"Good evening, Connor. It is a pleasure to hear from you, my door is always open as they say." A pause at the invitation before continuing. "You are in luck, Connor, I have some free time this evening. What did you have in mind?"

[Connor OBrien]

"I was thinking perhaps 'dinner?'" His intonation on the word dinner relayed the fact the he knew they wouldn't be eating. "Though you'll have to forgive me, I don't know the city well enough to decide on a location suitable for someone such as yourself."

[Quinn Durant]

"I know a little hookah lounge that has a private back room that would be lovely. Still have to mind yourself of course, or we could go more private than that, say a house in the suburbs? Your choice Mr. O'brien."

[Connor OBrien]

There was a brief but audible sputter from Connor's end of the line. "Being able to speak freely would be preferred," he said after a short pause, "if you aren't worried about the possible assumptions others may make. Then perhaps if our more...intimate, for lack of a better word... talks go well, we could visit the Hookah Lounge at a later date?"

[Quinn Durant]

"I am not concerned what anyone thinks Mr. O'Brien. I assure you everyone thinks of me as a lady, so they would think nothing of a quiet location to speak freely." There was a slight hint of heat in the statement, which quickly cooled as she gave him the address. Clearly she had forgotten the implication already...

[Connor OBrien]

Ohhhh, I fucked up. He thought, hearing the heat in Quinn's voice.

"Very well, I will be there shortly." His voice slightly more timid than before. "Goodbye, Miss Durant." Then the line went dead.
